Hawk Bags: A Photoblogger’s Choice

Posted: August 21st, 2010 | No Comments »

I’ve been searching for Travel Bags in Cebu for quite some time. I guess I’ve been complaining quite  a few times when there seems to be no bag that can fit my needs as a photoblogger and a somewhat travel blogger. I needed something that can fit my camera, one extra lens, a couple of […]

Guess the next Prize!

Posted: August 20th, 2010 | No Comments »

As promised in my previous post, I will be having another contest. But before that contest starts, you need to guess the prize of the contest. It can be a mobile phone, a laptop, a gaming console, a software, a desktop, a toy, or anything that you can imagine.

The mechanics are sample. All you need to do is be specific and post your guess in the comment form below. For example, if my prize is a Google Nexus One phone, then leave a comment below stating: Jehzlau’s next contest prize is a Google Nexus One phone. If the prize of my next contest is a HP TM2T Tablet PC, then say: Jehzlau’s next contest prize is an HP TM2T Tablet PC. Wooooooot! Yes, it really is that simple.
Bear in mind that your entry will be disqualified if you don’t include the phrase “Jehzlau’s next contest prize is” .
You can post […]

Coffee Bean Tea Leaf (CBTL) in Ayala Terraces

Posted: August 20th, 2010 | No Comments »

One fine Thursday I needed to go to Ayala to have my mobile internet service checked for my Globe Tattoo Cebu connection. (Yes I’m playing with keywords here so don’t mind the location specific nouns ) Fortunately Maldeetuhramblings and soloflightED were present in the vicinity (in Coffee Bean Tea leaf in Ayala Terraces) and so […]

Dollar Bird (Eurystomus orientalis)

Posted: August 19th, 2010 | No Comments »

I really miss posting about birds so I’m gonna share one particular noisy bird which fascinated me as I was able to see this around 5 years ago and I’ve only been able to see it again in Crocolandia. The Dollar Bird or the Oriental Dollar Bird is actually one very very noisy bird. Scientific […]

Jose Karlo’s Coffee in Tacloban, Leyte

Posted: August 18th, 2010 | No Comments »

Looking for a gourmet coffee shop in Tacloban? Then go to Jose Karlo’s Coffee. Last time I was there, I got the chance to visit their branch right across Sto. Nino Church along Juan Luna Street. First of all, JK (as locals call it), is a coffee shop and an internet cafe. A homegrown coffee […]

The SEAIR and Microtel Boracay Dream Vacation

Posted: August 18th, 2010 | No Comments »

Two years ago, I won in a writing contest spearheaded by SEAIR. I won tickets supposedly for Palawan, but then the last minute, we were given tickets for a Boracay trip. I didn’t complain because it will be my grandparents’ first time there and it is also my friend Maire’s dream to go there.

Going back to Boracay… Hopefully, this year!

My first SEAIR experience is a nice one. It was my first time to ride again in a plane after 15 years and seeing my grandparents happy before we reached Caticlan airport is priceless. It was fast too! I remember Maire taking lots of pictures because it is her first airplane experience.

First time in Boracay with Lolo and Lola!

Who said that having fun in Boracay is not possible? Here’s a proof that you can make your grandparents happy once you bring them to Boracay! The two of them looked really […]

Coffee Dream in Parkmall

Posted: August 17th, 2010 | No Comments »

I’ve heard about Coffee Dream in Kia Motors where there are cars sold but I didn’t expect that I would be able to try this branch. I was dragged brought here by Eric, Ed,Audrey and Doi right after coming down from Cantipla farms. Coffee Dream had  a nice cafe interior design and I found it particularly […]

Have Baby, Will Blog

Posted: August 16th, 2010 | No Comments »

Were you able to read the Summit Media book Have Baby, Will Date? Or were you able to catch the TV version of the said chicklit on TV5 where Valerie Concepcion played the lead role? Well, any of the two mentioned  has nothing to do with this blog entry LOL
Last Saturday, Ada and I went to Greenhills after our shoot for Tek Tok TV. We found out that Hannah’s scheduled to host a seminar somewhere in Promenade Mall and since we have nothing to do, we decided to take a sneak peak at the event.

Keep that in mind, dear parents!

We saw Carlo Ople talking in front while Sir Sonny invited us to join. I then found out that it is a Cyber Safety Campaign for Parents seminar. Obviously, we didn’t really have plans of staying since it is a seminar designed for parents. Carlo’s talk somewhat caught my […]

Posted: August 16th, 2010 | No Comments »

Yay 3rd birthday? Last year I made the same list and I am not repeating that list because [1] I got some of the items already like the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer, NARS blush in Torrid and a camera (yeay Lumix LX3!!) and [2] for sure I got a new set of “wants” for this […]

Cosplay in SM Cebu August 2010

Posted: August 16th, 2010 | No Comments »

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a hug fan of Cosplays but they are quite interesting considering that I dunno of that many shops that sell costumes of anime characters so our Cebuanno Cosplayers end up having to use their own resourceful skills to come up with an awesome costume. Last Saturday August 14, 2010 […]

Micamyx and Adaphobic on Tek Tok TV

Posted: August 14th, 2010 | No Comments »

Guesting on a TV show with one of your craziest blogger friend on a Saturday is fun! Yesterday, Ada Lajara of Adaphobic and I went to Global News Network’s studio for the advanced taping of Tek Tok TV. It is a tech show aired every Wednesday morning in Destiny Cable’s Global News Network. It is hosted by Vince Golangco of WhenInManila.com and of course, my ever sexy friend Hannah Villasis of FlairCandy.com.

Mica and Ada with Vince before the final take

Ada and I were quite excited when we received the invitation from Vince to finally guest on the show. Usually, the blogger feature part is concentrated on one blogger per show. I guess two is better than one especially if the two bloggers featured on the episode share a lot of things in common.  During the interview, we were able to share some of our personal insights about blogging, the benefits […]

It’s been quite awhile since I spent some time with my best friend. Riz and I just came from Badminton session and that meant one thing. We…were…HUNGRY! Ayala Terraces has a good number of restaurants and one of them offers Thai Cuisine in Cebu. Quite popular in Cebu and more known as Krua Thai, Siam […]

Real Leaf Green Tea with Honey

Posted: August 10th, 2010 | No Comments »

There are a lot of tea beverages in the market today and recently, Real Leaf Green Tea got my attention because of one distinct feature of the product – it uses honey as sweetener. A product of Coca Cola Company, Real Leaf is a drink which promises to give you the health benefits of both […]

My 7th Trip to Cebu City

Posted: August 9th, 2010 | No Comments »

Whenever there are seat sales or anything, the first place that pops in my mind is Cebu. There are many factors on why I keep on going back to Cebu and it’s becoming an addiction. Like what I mentioned in my previous post, my trip to Cebu last weekend is my 7th in one year.

Micamyx @ Be Resorts – Relaxed and Happy

So how did my solo trip to Cebu go? (Yes, solo flight again!). I took the earliest Cebu Pacific flight to Cebu last Friday and went straight to Crowne Garden Hotel to sleep. I woke up at around 1PM and went immediately to Ayala Mall Cebu to meet up with Tito Gerry. We went to Casa Verde for my late lunch (it’s his first time there LOL) and we were able to bond and talk about my great grandfather, who is a renowned doctor of leprosy here […]
