I Love Britney Spears! Would You Hold it Against Me?

Posted: February 18th, 2011 | No Comments »

The Princess of Pop is back! The once teen queen turned pop icon Britney Spears is set to release her 7th studio album called ‘Femme Fatale’.

Britney Spears is back!

For the past few weeks, the die-hard fans of Britney had been tweeting about how excited they are with the first single ‘Hold it Against Me’. Britney Spears even had a short Twitter chat with her fans last week and her online team uploaded a number of video teasers. I’m glad that finally, the video is out!
Click ‘more’ to watch the official music video from Britney Spears’ Vevo account!

Obviously, this song is about a girl seducing a guy on the dancefloor. I’m sure that a lot of Britney haters will bash her again because of the theme of her songs. What can we do? Britney Spears is a sex symbol and most pop songs are all about sex. Just deal with it […]

Postcards from England: Postcard Exchange Project

Posted: February 14th, 2011 | No Comments »

I used to collect stamps when i was younger. I was influenced by my dad. He taught me how to remove the stamps in envelopes without destroying them. It was the time wherein I had penpals (yes i had some when i was in elementary!). I also ended up collecting some of the envelopes from my mom’s letters that was sent by her former workmates who tried their luck in countries such as Canada, UAE, UK, Italy, United States among others.

Postcards From England – Postcard Exchange Project

Right now, people seldom send letters, greeting cards or postcards via mail. Why spend some money buying writing materials and stamp if you can communicate by text, chat and email anyway?
When I arrived here in England, I saw a tourist holding her postcard album. She was telling her friend that she managed to collect those postcards by swapping with other collectors from different parts […]

Why Yakult Comes Only In Small Bottles

Posted: February 14th, 2011 | No Comments »

Yakult, aside from being healthy, is also one of the tastiest ready-to-drink milk out there in the local market. I italicized “milk” because it’s not your typical milk – it’s actually probiotic milk. That means it’s cultured – in other words, it has beneficial bacteria in it (say it with me: Lactobacilli Shirota strain). And […]

Plato Wraps Restaurant, Calasiao, Pangasinan

Posted: February 13th, 2011 | No Comments »

Plato Wraps Restaurant is located in Calasiao, Pangasinan. I can remember many times eating at their food carts here in Manila, their unique grilled sandwich made me try it as it looks healthy too. I was on pesco-vegetarian diet for two months last year and always order their Very Veggie sandwich. It has the right […]

Cyma Greek Restaurant in Ayala Terraces

Posted: February 12th, 2011 | No Comments »

It was around December (near shobe’s birthday) when the family decided to go for lunch in Cyma at Ayala Terraces (and we later had our new year Dinner there too) Cyma is the only Greek restaurant in Cebu that I’ve tried. I also do not know if there are other Greek restaurants. The restaurant is […]

Of Sports and Chances

I remember when I saw my younger brother playing soccer in his inter-school competitions I found it really exciting to see him on the front line and making those “almost” goals. Fast forward many years later when now he’s in college he recently came back to our place to play for the Thirsty football competition. […]

How I Deal with My Parents When I Travel and What They Don’t Know.

Posted: February 11th, 2011 | No Comments »

There are two kinds of parents, one that may say, “Grow up!” While the other one, “You’ll do as I say because you are still a kid!” Unfortunately, I have to say, my parents are the other one. I became sick of just staying inside the house. They are paranoid. I remember when a friend […]

Coffeebreak in Iloilo

Posted: February 9th, 2011 | No Comments »

If you find yourself in Iloilo City, don’t go around town looking for Starbucks because there’s a better alternative, the homegrown coffee chain – Coffeebreak. Believe me when I say that you can find a branch near you almost everywhere, even at the Iloilo airport. And they serve not only the usual cafes, smoothies and […]

‘To Be With You’ by Mr. Big

Posted: February 9th, 2011 | No Comments »

Last year, I got addicted to Mag:Net High Street’s Monday Rockeoke Nights. I blame it on Judd and Carlos of Nuffnang PH LOL. I declared Monday night as Rockeoke night during the first part of 2010. After my work in Quezon City, I would go home to eat quick dinner, dress up and go straight to Bonifacio High Street to jam with my friends.

I'm the one who wants to be with you…

Usually, songs like ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, ‘Alone’, ‘Creep’ and ‘With or Without You’  and ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ is on our song list. We would listen to Gabe Mercado, Wanggo Gallaga or Quark Henares as they threw punchlines after every performance.
One of the songs I usually perform on Rockeoke nights is Mr. Big’s ‘To Be With You‘. I remember Wanggo saying that it is a pub song and it is rare for a girl to sing the […]

On Angelo Reyes and His Shocking Death

Posted: February 8th, 2011 | No Comments »

I don’t really have any plans of blogging right now, but I found out that the Former Armed Forces Chief and Defense Secretary Angelo Reyes shot himself a few hours ago and is now pronounced dead. I am not really into Philippine Politics (it is much more scarier than the fictional horror stories with real-life monsters) and I am not really updated with his case.

RIP Angelo Reyes

A flash report posted on a reliable news website mentioned some of Angelo Reyes’ credentials. He seemed to be a very outstanding student and he was able to study in prestigious institutions. It is really sad that all his hardwork in building a name of his own was just thrown away – just like that.

I am not related to Angelo Reyes and I never had the chance to meet him in person, but i was saddened with the news about his ‘suicide’. The man […]

Help Me Get A Bo’s Coffee Doodle Set

Posted: February 7th, 2011 | No Comments »

If you’ve been to Bo’s Coffee over the holidays, then you probably know about the Bo’s Coffee Doodle Set. Their promo ended last January 30 and despite my best attempts to drink Caramello Latte as often as I can, I only managed to get 10 stickers out of 16. But that’s okay, because that still […]

It’s now February and I still don’t have an idea of what to post in my blog. I want to post more often this year compared last year, but January already ended and I only had one post last month. Hmmmm? What should I post this February? Another contest? Puzzles? Blogging tips? Gadgets? Pictures? or __________ ?

Eating at The Real Thing Diner

Posted: February 4th, 2011 | No Comments »

Yes, it’s the “Coke Restaurant” and I got invited to visit it a few weeks ago. The Real Thing Diner, a name taken from Coca-Cola’s famous advertising slogan, is a casual dining venue along Tomas Morato that serves Coke-inspired dishes and beverages. It’s definitely a haven for lovers of the brand, most specially Coke memorabilia […]
