Crypto Currency PHP Tracker + Live Race Viewer

Posted: June 27th, 2017 | No Comments »

According to various Scientists (Yeah. I made this up), those who bought crypto currencies were monitoring it since the day they bought it. And when the price drops while looking at the graph, they tend panic, and sell their cryptos at loss. They are very scared, thinking that it will dip more. This idea came to my mind one day, to monitor prices in a different way. Instead of charts and graphs that goes up and down, why not make them run going forward, like they are racing endlessly to the moon. This will mentally set your mind that the price will increase someday, but it will take time. Getting to the moon from earth will definitely take time. Hahaha!
So I made a web app that actually entertains, so that you won’t be depressed anymore if the price drops while looking at those red candlesticks and logarithmic charts. Developed […]

Tips for First Timers Attending Comic Convention

Posted: May 27th, 2017 | No Comments »

I just went to Vegas last April and I can’t wait to get back for more! This June, Vegas will have another Comic Convention and I am excited to see what they have to offer!

I have attended many comic conventions in the Philippines and I think attending one in the US will be a more exhilirating experience.

Are you excited for your first ever comic con experience? If so, there are particular tips to consider so you can enjoy your first time. Aside from wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, you also need to bring your comic con supplies. But there are more things to keep in mind before you attend such convention wherever that is. Today, we will help you prepare for the Las Vegas Comic Con which will be happening this coming June 23 to 25.

How Comic Con Conventions Work
If it’s your first time to attend a comic con, it’s […]

Why you should NOT buy Bitcoins from Coins.ph

Posted: May 23rd, 2017 | No Comments »

I love Coins.ph, it’s convenient to buy mobile load, pay bills, and to send cash to anyone even without an ATM card or bank account. I recommended Coins.ph as a way to buy Ethers in the Philippines in my previous post. I even referred my friends to sign-up at Coins.ph to start investing and trading Bitcoins. But now, I don’t recommend them if you want to buy Bitcoins. Their price spread is way too large compared to other Bitcoin exchanges out there.

If you live in the Philippines, there are a lot of places to buy Bitcoins, but are too expensive (i.e. coins.ph, localbitcoins.com, etc). But there’s one place where you can buy BTC at a fair price, and guess what? It’s the first Bitcoin company established in the Philippines. It’s https://www.buybitcoin.ph/. Unlike Coins.ph where you have a Bitcoin wallet, Buybitcoin.ph is just a platform where you can buy Bitcoins, for […]

Where to buy Ethers in the Philippines?

Posted: May 1st, 2017 | No Comments »

Let’s go straight to the point. Where to buy Ethers if you’re located in the Philippines. Oh wait, you don’t know what Ethers are? Read this Wikipedia article about Ethereum, or this very nice Infographic by Genesis Mining about Ethereum, then continue reading this post. So now you have an idea what Ethers, ETH and Ethereum are. To summarize what you just read (or if you didn’t even bother to read it) ETH = Ether (not to be confused with NYSE:ETH). Ether is a cryptocurrency token in the Ethereum Blockchain.

Familiar with Bitcoin? If you’re familiar with BTC, then ETH is slightly similar but not exactly the same. But wait, I just said above that I’ll go straight to the point.
So… where to buy ethers in the Philippines? Currently there are no PH-based crypto platforms and online wallets that lets you buy ethers, which sucks. But you can buy some good […]

100 Pagespeed Score in GTMetrix, finally!

Posted: January 3rd, 2017 | No Comments »

I finally achieve 100 in GTmetrix, now I can sleep. One less thing to worry, the cookie free issue Yslow keeps dragging my Yslow grade to 99. But I’ll worry about that tomorrow or the day after.

Here’s my latest GTMetrix score: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.jehzlau-concepts.com/VQRcnXWN. 0.5s + 5 page requests.
Did this while tinkering my W3TC settings in my iPad, because I’m too lazy to open my Mac. Haha!

2016 – The Life Teacher

Posted: January 2nd, 2017 | No Comments »

Hey guys! I’m free-writing for now. Meaning, I don’t have any structure to this blog post. It’s all about my free-flowing thoughts that I type into writing. I miss doing this. This was how I started my blogging back in 2008. I wrote like it was my personal diary, but for all to see.
I want to review my 2016, so I can pursue with a better year ahead for 2017. So many things have happened, and while I lost so many things in 2016, I gained in experience.
So Busy
2016 was quite a hectic year for me. I got involved in so many things. This involved me becoming the liaison for our pole summer show, having a new job at a big company, realizing I grew another fibroadenoma leading to my 2nd cancer scare and of course, quitting my job and focusing on YouTube during my break.
Can’t do this without REAL […]

I finally achieved 0.6s load time in GTMetrix after switching to https + doing some minor tweaks in my W3TC settings. Proof: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.jehzlau-concepts.com/WN5evABj. Now I need to minify and combine all CSS and JS files, Optimize the order of styles and scripts, then Specify image dimensions. Then that’s it. Maybe I’ll achieve 100% in both Pagespeed and Yslow grade very soon.

Fixed ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. Activated https + MaxCDN EdgeSSL + Cloudflare Full Strict SSL

Posted: December 29th, 2016 | No Comments »

Before 2016 ends, I made sure that this blog is more secure. Just like most WordPress users (and since SSL is now for free, thanks to Letsencrypt), I activated SSL at jehzlau-concepts.com! Now https://www.jehzlau-concepts.com is redirected to https://www.jehzlau-concepts.com/. MaxCDN url is also updated to a shared SSL CDN url, then Cloudflare cryptography SSL settings is set to Full (Strict).

Enabling https in WordPress is pretty simple, I didn’t even modify any WordPress files (e.g. wp-config.php) nor the famous .htaccess file. I just installed 2 plugins, and voila, everything in this blog is now working smoothly with https enabled! The two plugins I installed are: Really Simple SSL by Rogier Lankhorst and Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection by Tips and Tricks HQ.
Just make sure you already have SSL installed in your host. If you encountered a ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, you just need change your nameservers back to your default nameservers. The ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR usually occurs when […]

Christmas Tree Education

Posted: December 22nd, 2016 | No Comments »

History of Christmas Trees
Even before Christianity or before Christ was born, people have been using evergreen trees to celebrate the winter season. There are plants and trees that remained green all year, called evergreen trees. These trees had a special meaning during winter and people would usually decorate their houses with a lush color of green. People during those times think that putting green branches in their homes would drive away evil spirits and unpleasant energies.
Germany is where the first printed reference of Christmas Trees first appeared. In Medieval Germany, Christmas Trees are viewed as pagan practice, until a stylish and popular British Queen, Queen Victoria made it into a popular tradition.
Beauty and Style has indeed shaped the world that we live in today.

First Artificial Christmas Trees
First Artificial Christmas Trees were made of Goose feathers. They started this in Germany and dyed them green which is then attached to wire […]

5 Easy Tips for a Tech Detox

Posted: December 20th, 2016 | No Comments »

Do you find yourself reaching for your smartphone as soon as you wake up? Before you go to bed, is the glare of your tablet the last thing that you see? If you answered yes to both questions, then it’s about time that you tried a tech detox.

While technology has its benefits, too much of it can also be a bad thing. Eye strain is fast becoming a problem for many gadget users today. Likewise, some people experience neck pain from being hunched over their computers for too long.
To avoid eye strain, neck pain, and other health problems, here are five easy tips for a tech detox:
1. Limit your social media time.

How often do you check your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? Social media networks are a great way to stay connected, but they can also be major time wasters. Before you know it, your “few minutes” could become an hour […]
