Homecoming Jitters – Random Thoughts and Realizations

Posted: February 28th, 2011 | No Comments »

Three months in England. Wow. Is that for real? Yes, I am on my way to my third month in England and sadly, I am scheduled to leave soon. I am having mixed emotions right now. Remember my blog entry about my travel jitters prior to my trip here? Ironically, I am going through the same thing. Now I call it ‘Homecoming Jitters’.

My body is not used to the very, very, very cold weather and I needed to adjust asap. Now I know that Gloves, Boots, Scarfs and Warmers are not being used for fashion purposes only. It is a necessity. It is not even enough to keep your body warm especially last December. I ended up getting colds after playing […]

Anyone who knows me would also know my undying love for Dimsum. Dad and mom will never forget that my favorite cuisine will ALWAYS be Dimsum. Whether it is fastfood dimsum, expensive dimsum, or just plain home made dimsum. I LOVE DIMSUM! Finding a good Dimsum restaurant in Cebu is not an easy task. If […]

Close, so Close

Walking around the school campus has never been the same ever since I enrolled for my last full semester in the college of Arts and Sciences in Velez College. The pressure it’s putting in me is really indescribable. Everyday it’s like I’m in a roller coaster of emotions. Some days I’m super happy and excited. […]

La Terrasse Restaurant might be the next big thing in Palawan

Posted: February 25th, 2011 | No Comments »

We just discovered this awesome restaurant in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This has got to be my new favorite restaurant here in the Philippines. The restaurant wasn’t built yet when we went to Puerto Princesa last April 2010, they just opened July 2010. I found this restaurant while reading restaurant reviews in Trip Advisor, I said […]

Me and my friends were looking for a place to unwind after attending the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta and we found ourselves in SM Clark. I Miss Friday Boys’ Night Out

Posted: February 21st, 2011 | No Comments »

Monday blues. Yes everyone, I’m a normal human being like everyone else and I despise the Monday just as much as you all do. However, I have found a semi cure to this psychological sickness. The secret to curing the Monday blues is as simple as Julie Andrews’ favorite things song. So for one of the things […]

Happily ever after, yeah right

Posted: February 21st, 2011 | No Comments »

I love a good story. In fact, I grew up reading a variety of tales from different countries. If there was one thing I can say about them it would be that they contained variety and they were not as predictable as I’d see it to be. Nowadays people are developed on “Fairy tales” and […]

I attended the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011 in Clark, Pampanga last February 12 and I could say that it was an overall fun day for me. POSITIVE (Short Film) at yourindiefilm.com

Posted: February 20th, 2011 | No Comments »

Last year, I was able to work on my third short film. It was something that I conceptualized after I finished editing my two previous films (Kuya Bunso and The 12th of June). I originally planned to make a five minute ‘infomercial’ that can raise awareness on HIV with no dialogues. I ended up playing with the main characters until it became a 17 minute screenplay.

The cast and crew of 'Positive' after shooting a complicated scene

The story of POSITIVE revolves around Celine Antonio, a young married promiscuous woman who is about to face the consequences of her infidelity. Is this based on a specific true story? Nope, but it is inspired from true events.

Shena Velasquez as Celine in 'POSITIVE'

Playing the lead character in this short film is Shena Velasquez. I first worked with her when she played the role of Liza, the bestfriend of Jade Lopez in ‘The 12th of […]
