Partying in Hong Kong

Posted: June 30th, 2011 | No Comments »

It all just happened that Vince’s friends from San Diego where at the same place and at the same time as we were.  Vince and I were visiting Hong Kong again while it’s still cold there and his friends took a pit stop in Hong Kong for their Asia backpacking trip.
I’ve been to Hong Kong a few times, what can I say, I love the food and the sights here.  But, I’ve never been out to experience the night life.  I have planned to go out a few times but since I don’t know any locals in HK, it was hard.
I think the best way to explore the city is to befriend a local
You have virtualtourist.com, travelocity and many other sites that will let you know where to go so in case you don’t know anyone, just do your research online.
But, lucky for us… vince’s friends know some […]

Stock Market Night

Posted: June 28th, 2011 | No Comments »

I love parties and costume parties!
Stock Market invited a few bloggers for a 30s night and I gladly breezed through a busy schedule to come in costume.
I was so confused, I never lived in the 30s (:P) and I don’t know what’s the fashion at the time so I had to turn to “Google” for advice
I am not even sure if I was wearing a 30s outfit, but these are just the stuff I pulled out of my closet to try my best to look 30s… jeng jeng jeng!

with Mhel and Ken of Certified Foodies blog
It was fun meeting new bloggers and having a lovely chat with them while we enjoyed a healthy feast before us!  I have always loved dining here at Stock Market.  I just love the simple, clean and neat interior that lures me inside.  I usually order soup here for take-out when someone is […]

This is a trip that I never imagined will push through. Bagyong Falcon is about to hit the country and I am in Dagupan City, Pangasinan last Thursday. I asked some of my travel blogger friends if the scheduled trip to Puerto Princesa will still push through. Most of us were hesitant because of the […]

Get Healthy and WIN!

Posted: June 24th, 2011 | No Comments »

Hey guys, healthy living need not be booooorrrrriiiing.
Two contests for the young — ahem, that’s me —- and the not-so-very-young are ongoing on Facebook. Really, there are so many contests there, but these two got my attention.
For one, I’m into healthy lifestyle. Or I try my damned best to be.
Two, these contests are encouraging us to channel our creative juices to be funny, quirky, amusing, nutty but with good intentions.  Whoa!!!
Anyway, if you’re all of the above…. Me, I’m batty all the time but lovable nevertheless — visit the Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass CAN fan page. Like that page before you send your entry.
The mechanics of the two contests are also found there.
1.       “Shake the Grass” video contest  –

3 winners will be announced on August 19.
How do you win?  3 categories such as Best Video, Most Liked and Most viewed.
Cool cool prizes for each category: […]

10 Blackberry apps for Navigating Traffic in Manila

Posted: June 24th, 2011 | No Comments »

Hi guys, it’s traffic and it’s flooded everywhere!  Here are apps you can download and use with your Blackberry to get you through the streets of Manila

Motoring App Alert – Navigating through traffic with your BlackBerry

In this edition of AppAlert, we have compiled a list road safety and useful applications with relations to your car.

1. DriveSafe.ly – Free / Text’nDrive – Free

Drivesafe.ly and Text’nDrive are two ingenious applications that eliminate the temptation of reading your emails or SMS while driving; both the applications will read aloud your emails and SMS in real time while you focus on driving.

The best feature about the apps is that it enables you to reply by voice. The only difference between these two apps is the interface, so it boils down to a matter of your preference.

Boosting Your Girl Power With A!life

Posted: June 23rd, 2011 | No Comments »

Ladies, admit it.  I know you all feel more powerful now with your different careers and roles in life.  I started to feel powerful the moment I graduated college and passed the CPA board exam.  Instead of celebrating, my parents said “no more allowance, you need to get a job now.” @_@ I was like “but, but, but… I don’t have a job yet!”  Well I guess, it forced me to get a job pronto!
That was scary for me at that time.  I was panicking and I was like, no more malls? no more shopping? no more food trips? Unless I get a job.  It was pretty scary but indeed it was still very empowering!
I know a lot of you girls (and even guys) can relate to this.  Doesn’t it feel great to make money on your own and to take care of yourself independently for the first time? I […]

Tanduay Ice “Masarap Ang Bawal” TVC

Posted: June 22nd, 2011 | No Comments »

Tanduay Ice is slowly gaining popularity among local drinkers. I remember attending a couple of parties in the past month where it was the choice of spirit among the crowd. I think one reason for this is the product’s exposure through the new Tanduay Ice “Masarap ang Bawal” television commercial. Here’s that TVC below as […]

Posted: June 21st, 2011 | No Comments »

“Coffee was not a lifestyle yet, it was just a product. There were not a lot of coffee shops. There were no foreign brands in the market.” Those were the words of Steve Benitez, Founder and CEO of Bo’s Coffee, as he reminisces back to June 28, 1996, when the very first Bo’s Coffee opened […]

Watching Green Lantern with Special Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Posted: June 21st, 2011 | No Comments »

Just got back from watching Green Lantern

Geek mode.. and yes, recently after my eye infection thingy, my vision got blurry and had to put on glasses all the time.  🙁
I have been catching up on the comic world lately and I actually just saw the Green Lantern animated movie and I was so excited to watch the live-action film with Ryan Reynolds and my favorite Gossip Girl Blake Lively <3 they’re both so hot!
I had to miss Pole practice for this, but I also couldn’t miss watching it with Krispy Kreme and other blogger friends!  They have a new flavor that’s out only for this season of Green Lantern I remembered they also had a special flavor before with Green Hornet.  Check it out coz it will only be available ’til July 10.  I love that it doesn’t taste too sweet.  It’s just the right amount […]

Samal Paradise Island Beach Resort

Posted: June 20th, 2011 | No Comments »

One of my fond memories of Davao is the beautiful Island of Samal. It had a small beach resort: Paradise Island Beach resort. We still had to ride a boat going to the Island but it wasn’t too far. When we got there I got sight of the cute beach front. It wasn’t really big […]
