Mochitsuki or “mochi-pounding” in Japan

Posted: January 27th, 2014 | No Comments »

I first heard of “mochi” from my sister and when she introduced us the Mochi Sweets store in Eastwood Mall. Back then, I didn’t even realize that it was also the first souvenir I bought for my family during my first visit in Japan. Last Sunday, my husband and I were lucky to have been […]

Remembering Coy Caballes a.k.a. CokskiBlue #ThankYouCoy

Posted: January 17th, 2014 | No Comments »

I logged on to my Facebook account while taking a break from work. I was shocked upon reading messages from my news feed that people are posting sympathies on a friend’s page. I haven’t been in touch…

This is my only picture with Coy (na walang ibang kasama) during the Google DevFest 2008 WordCamp Philippines 2009 event at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Makati last September 19, 2009. Time runs so fast. Thank you Coy for being a very very very good friend. #ThankYouCoy.
Facts about Me and Coy: 1. He’s the very first blogger that I’ve met and talked to personally in the very first blogging event that I’ve attended. 2. Both of us took the Mensa IQ test and passed! Wooooot! 3. We formerly used Blogger.com as our blogging platform before moving to WordPress, but still kept the good old blogspot blog online. 4. I proudly hosted his WordPress blog (thisiscoy.net) for a few years before his domain was expired. 5. I was inspired to do a video blog because of him but I never had to guts to start one. 6. We’re both […]

All You Can Eat at Figaro

Posted: January 13th, 2014 | No Comments »

All-You-Can-Eat Promos are usually done by restaurants, so when a coffee shop announces that they’ll offer one, it got me curious. And true enough, Figaro Coffee is having an All-You-Can-Eat promo until February 25, 2014 for their sandwiches and pasta dishes. For only P299, you can enjoy these sandwiches and pasta dishes, along with bottomless […]

Whale Sharks in Cebu: Majestic Marine Wonders

Posted: January 13th, 2014 | No Comments »

Three hours south of Cebu, the humble municipality of Oslob started gaining popularity because of the famous gentle giants once more famously seen in Donsol, Sorsogon: The Whale Shark (Rhyncodon typus). The whole family decided to finally see this majestic creature of the sea despite my earlier apprehensions of how they handled this “ecotourism”. […]

The Sudden Boracay Trip

Posted: January 7th, 2014 | No Comments »

“Johnn! Wake up! We’re going to Boracay!” My brother woke me up somewhere 8:30am in the morning and I was still feeling too lazy to get up. He already mentioned about it the day before but I thought it was rather peculiar that we would suddenly have tickets to Caticlan. I was really thinking my […]

Bilang estudyante sa kolehiyo, masasabi ko na napaka-idealistic ko. Hindi man ako naka-enroll sa isang bonggang unibersidad sa Maynila, hindi ako nagpatinag. Aba, kailangan mas maging palaban ako…
