My Makeup and Costume for Pole Recital Photoshoot

Posted: April 30th, 2011 | No Comments »

I can say I’m a late bloomer.  I mean, I could have done all these things earlier – dancing, makeup, fashion and sewing!  But instead, I took a route to the corporate world first.  Not that I regretted ever studying Accounting and working for a corporation… I think all of that was meant to be and I enjoyed the journey I took and the people I’ve met along the way (which also incidentally prompted me to start my blog).  At least, no one can say I’m a dumb bimbo now coz I have proof – I’m a licensed CPA baby! but meh, I discovered that I wanted to do more things other than corporate.  I have used the left side of my brain and used it well, it is time for me to use my right brain
Makeup!
I knew I had to finally do this since I need to […]

I’m happy to announce that after almost a month of campaigning for the Batang Yagit Fund Drive for the Little Kids in Zamboanga, we have raised a total of $287.25 (+300 pesos) from 32 contributors. If I use the current conversion, that […]

Interesting Facts About Dehydration

Posted: April 27th, 2011 | No Comments »

Everyone I know seems to be complaining now of the summer heat. While we can’t really control the weather, we can definitely control how it affects us. The hot weather and being under the sun means you’re losing water fast. So be sure to drink plenty of water regularly. Below are some interesting facts and […]

Disney in the Stars Fireworks Display and How to Capture It

Posted: April 27th, 2011 | No Comments »

Disneyland is all about happiness and magic!  What better way to celebrate a lovely day than to watch the Disney in the Stars Fireworks Display at night?  Disneyland shows fireworks display everyday at around 8pm to wrap up the day.
I love fireworks and I’m always amazed at the art of pyrotechnics!  Disney fireworks are always fun because they do it around the castle, in harmony with Disney music in the background and video projections of different clips of Disney movies and cartoons along the castle’s walls.  The Castle is well lit with different colors that also change in sync with the fireworks and the music from time to time.
I was so happy, I cried with joy!
The music they played are of course snippets from our favorite Disney songs.  The fireworks gracefully dance along with it.  Vince captured the video for this, so if you want to view how the magical […]

Lipton Sparkling Iced Tea

Posted: April 25th, 2011 | No Comments »

I was at the grocery the other day and a promodiser called to me to try this new Lipton Sparkling Iced Tea. It’s basically your typical ready-to-drink iced tea that’s carbonated, thus the “sparkle”. This product goes down your throat like a typical soda and I think it’s being marketed as your “healthier” alternative because […]

Where to get Bunny or Rabbit Food in Manila

Posted: April 25th, 2011 | No Comments »

Dog food is everywhere!  You can find it in grocery stores and the most basic of pet shops.
Sadly, there are not a lot of bunny stores in Manila.  Here are the pet shops that carry bunny food, well, the ones that I’ve been visiting so far.

1. Bio-Research
They used to have a branch in Robinson’s Manila, but it closed down.
You can go to Greenhills branch (that’s in V-Mall, in front of the car park building )
Or, you can also go to Robinson’s Galleria.  I forgot which floor though so just ask the information desk, but they have more choices of bunny food there.

2. Petty Pets
Their only store (so far) is in SM Megamall A ground floor.  In front of either Shakeys or Pizza Hut (I forgot) It’s near the Entrance/Exit door.

They only focus on bunnies, birds, gerbils and hamsters.
I found the cutest little things!

I die of […]

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Enchanted Garden and Disney Characters

Posted: April 25th, 2011 | No Comments »

Part 4 of my series of Disneyland posts!
I didn’t want to put everything in one post!  Disneyland deserves more than just one and I don’t want to cramp everything in one go
And for this post, I’ll be sharing with you my experience staying in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (yep that’s right!!!) and dining on Enchanted Garden and meeting Disneyland characters!  Staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel really completed our vacation because there are many perks in staying at any Disneyland Hotel!
Just to enumerate a few:
1. Living in a Castle
You will feel like you are in a huge castle!  Every detail of the hotel was well thought of from the carpet, to the wallpapers, the garden and even the tiniest details in our hotel room was all filled with Disney characters and well – Hidden Mickeys!  They were everywhere!

Looking at this photo makes me want to go back […]

Hygiene Freak!

Posted: April 24th, 2011 | No Comments »

GERMS are everywhere!  I watched this episode in one of the Discovery Channel shows that was all about germs – telephone, computer keyboards, ATMs, food trays in food courts, elevator buttons are just filled with billions and gazillions of germs!

This is my daily life.  In front of a PC tinkering on the keyboard everyday.
Zoom in – to find very dirty keyboard in macro

*eeeek!*
and, I eat while I work!

Good thing I have a healthy supply of Hygienix!

I bring one in my bag (it’s so handy)

and I have another one I just leave on my car because I am always on the go and hand sanitizer is always handy on a road trip!
and I also have another one at home just because, I blog and eat at the same time (keyboard very dirty)
also, we have house pets that can also carry germs or bacteria with them

Don’t worry, the bunny is not dead, […]

The History of the Fanta Brand

Posted: April 22nd, 2011 | No Comments »

For any person who is interested in history there’s many little tidbits of information out there. Stories from companies and various food packaging is as interesting as it is diverse. But not every beverage has as checkered of a past as the beverage Fanta. If you’ve paid attention to the ads in recent years then […]

Pole Dancing Practice

Posted: April 20th, 2011 | No Comments »

2nd Day.
Obviously, I need more practice! This is my second day of Pole Dancing classes and we are practicing for our recital. I needed to catch up with the other dancers Anyway, I’m so not graceful yet like the pole doesn’t like me AT ALL… but I’d like to document my dance daily so that I can track my own progress
I’m so glad I can climb the pole now and stay on one position… although not graceful >.< will work my way there!
Btw, my thighs felt like they got their cherry popped – whaddup it was so hard for me to walk properly lol. At least I know my muscles are working!

For the very first time, I stepped in together with 200+ bloggers in Thunderbird Resorts in Binangonan, Rizal. Pole Dancing Class with the Polecats

Posted: April 19th, 2011 | No Comments »

YOU GAIZZZ!
This is my first time EVER on a POLE but I must say – It’s SO MUCH FUN!  I should have done this earlier!
Polecats is the Philippine’s premiere pole dance group and they have the only certified instructors in the Philippines.  They also use genuine X-Poles so you’re safe to whirl and swirl the pole

Like I said, it’s my first time so mind the awkwardness lol.

The Pole Dancing Class by the Polecats is at GEN Studios in Pearl Plaza, Ortigas.

They can accommodate a maximum of 20 students per class, so sign up 20 mins before the class.
It’s on a first-come-first-serve basis.

They teach different levels from Beginners 1, Beginners 2 up to Intermediate.

I asked my friend Kristel to come with me and it’s her first time too!
We were advised to bring water, towel and wear SHORT shorts. And not to put lotion at all!

They are not […]

Guimaras Island: On Shrines, Beaches and Mango Shakes

Posted: April 18th, 2011 | No Comments »

To compliment my previous post on Visita Iglesia churches, I thought I’d share with you my Guimaras Island trip last January. If you’re going to Guimaras Island, you’d have to go take a boat from Parola (to get to Buenavista) or Ortiz Port (to get to Jordan). Tourists typically take the Jordan Port route which […]

Boracay Open Ultimate Frisbee 2011 with Hygienix

Posted: April 18th, 2011 | No Comments »

Everyone knows that I’m simply a beach person!  I’d love to imagine myself at the beach even when I’m in a busy city.  Since I daydream about the beach so often, and I dream so much about it… I sometimes find myself in one!
One day I woke up and found myself in one of my most favorite beaches in the world – Boracay.  I know it’s commercialized and all but that’s the way I like it!  Boracay has a special place in my heart and so does photography, sports and being healthy all the time!
So guess what? all the things I love was in one place!  Beach.  Frisbee.  my DSLR. and Hygienix!
I went to Boracay last weekend to cover the Boracay Open 2011 Ultimate Frisbee competition with Jane and Saab.  I know right? I was hanging out with online and offline celebrities!  Anyway, it was really a fantabulous experience hanging […]
