A Cool Contest Before November Ends

Posted: November 30th, 2010 | No Comments »

November will almost end and I still haven’t updated my blog. I don’t know what to write and I don’t know what to blog. Good thing, a sudden burst of idea appeared in my head. It’s a cool new contest before November ends…

So what is this cool new contest? It’s not really cool because it’s just another writing contest. What makes this cool is that you need to write a hate post. Yes, a “HATE” post for somebody you hate or don’t really hate.
If you want some examples, you can read my Smart Bro and Cebu Pacific post.
The criteria for this contest is very simple: The best hate post wins!
Here are the mechanics of the hate post contest.
1. You need to pretend that you’re a Zest Air passenger. (It’s a plus if you’re a previous Zest Air passenger and you had a bad experience with them. Just skip mechanic number […]

Zest Airways Philippines — a horrible passenger experience is a post from: Batang Yagit I just had the worst travel experience with Zest Air Philippines earlier today. I have flown with Zest Air and other budget airlines in the Philippines but I have never experienced something as bad as the one I just had this […]

Being in my fourth year of BS Biology I’m required to fulfill 120 hours of On-the-job training in different institutions that require my skills as a biologist. For weekends I have signed up for being a volunteer in Crocolandia. I’ve always wished that I could work in a zoo for part time and here I […]

Touring Iloilo is a post from: Batang Yagit It has been years since I last went to Iloilo. The last time was when I first went to Boracay. We went with the Iloilo-Aklan route back then and the only place I was to visit in Iloilo was the old Iloilo Airport. I arrived in Iloilo […]

Hundred Islands National Park, Alaminos City

Posted: November 26th, 2010 | No Comments »

I thought Hundred Islands doesn’t really have 100 islands since it looks like there are only 50 to 60 islands, but counting from top, there are almost 124 islands and islets (124 high tide and 123 during low tide). Of course we didn’t count it from top, it’s according to the Department of Tourism of […]

How To Make Ice Scramble | Pinoy Ice Scramble Recipe

Posted: November 25th, 2010 | No Comments »

Go to the mall today and one of the most popular stalls you’ll see is the Pinoy Ice Scramble franchise stores. Which got me thinking, how do you make ice scramble exactly? I only remember drinking this when I was a kid but never bothered to learn the ice scramble recipe. So I searched for […]

Coffee Works in Cagayan De Oro

Posted: November 25th, 2010 | No Comments »

I first saw Coffee Works at the Sky Garden in SM City North EDSA but never really had the chance to try their drinks. That’s why when I went to Cagayan De Oro, I really made sure I’d visit the branch where it all started. The original Coffee Works in CDO is located at the […]

Sneak Preview of the Western Pangasinan Getaway

Posted: November 23rd, 2010 | No Comments »

One of my dream projects as a blogger is to bring some of my blogger friends to Pangasinan, my beloved hometown. For months, there were attempts of organizing one, but due to the very long trip hours and lack of information, the plans never pushed through. Thanks to Anton (originally from Anda, Pangasinan) because he is my partner in organizing this trip. We had the same goal when finally we talked about the dream of organizing a Pangasinan Tour with blogger friends. Josh Uy is from Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan and he helped us out in terms of transportation

I am so happy because the dream trip finally pushed through! Last weekend, I together with Anton, Ada, Darwin, Estan, Robbie, Cai, Gael, Marky and Josh embarked on a very long trip to Pangasinan in order to explore, learn and enjoy our own Pangasinan […]

Okay! For this post, I’ll skip the tutorial for the mean time, but I hope this will catch your attention. This is my entry for Sulit.com.ph’s Christmas Card Contest.
The contest is entitled Create Your Own Sulit Christmas Card with the theme of “Pasko 2010: Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Makabagong Panahon”. Hey you can join too! It’s better to experience different web/graphic design contests online for you to be known as a good challenger. What ever design you present, everybody will appreciate it for as long as you design it with passion and desire. Brewed Wulong Iced Tea at Flip Video Launch

Posted: November 19th, 2010 | 1 Comment »

A few weeks ago, I wrote about some wulong tea weight loss information. And amusingly, that was what came into our minds when we were served freshly brewed oolong iced tea at the Cisco Flip Video launch. By the way, don’t be confused – wulong tea and oolong tea are the same, just different terms. […]

Greenin Philippines Program

Posted: November 16th, 2010 | No Comments »

I was recently invited by the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation for a certain briefing regarding a very good program in Cebu. It’s the Greenin Philippines program which aims to build forests rather than just planting trees. Being a Biologist myself and a member of the Cebu Association of Biology Students I am very glad that such […]

Print Away

Writing the Right Stuff (Yet another random post)

Posted: November 15th, 2010 | No Comments »

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen! I am here right now blogging live from my room at 6:35AM. I am not yet sleepy and i don’t have any plans of sleeping. My body wants to lie down and enter dreamland while my mind is telling me to write the right stuff in order to turn my dream into reality.

Playing with Words

I write for a living. I write for a tabloid, I write in my blogs and I write screenplays hoping to be recognized one day. I live because i write. I believe that it is the only medium i can freely express myself. I am not a ‘showy’ person and i am not even vocal in real life. I think i only have the power to make someone i love feel special when i write something about him/her.
I have a lot of draft posts found in my dashboard and i really […]

Talisay Ruins: Cooling Down With Sola Iced Tea Raspberry

Last October, I went to Bacolod to attend the MassKara Festival 2010 (see some of my photos here). But also, for me – a trip to Bacolod also means a chance to visit the Talisay Ruins. The Talisay Ruins is the ancestral home of Jayvee, a blogger friend of mine. It’s an enchanting place of […]
