Does My Feet Expand?

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

Back in my corporate days, I never had problems with closed shoes. I grew up wearing closed shoes. My college days in La Salle made us wear uniforms, therefore, corporate shoes. And back in the bank where I used to work, I had to wear closed shoes in heels – all the time! I loved heels and I could bare to walk with them the whole day.

It’s been a while since I’ve been freelancing and working at home. I never get to wear closed shoes anymore, and when I do – my feet hurts big time!
So, I have a theory!
My feet keeps on expanding because it is not enclosed, it just keeps growing at all angles, therefore, when I wear shoes lately, my feet (especially my pinky toes) hurt!
I am not sure if this is true or not so I did some research. I’m not sure if some of my […]

Flair Reviews: Nokia Lumia 1020

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

Just when I thought cellphones would not *wow* me anymore, I got the chance to review the Nokia Lumia with some awesome features that made me think “Is this even possible?”

First, I was shocked to see a 41-megapixel PureView on the box. I thought it was a typo. But it was not! My DSLR and my digicam only has 20 megapixel the most! But 41? Wow!

What I love about Nokia phones is that you can do so much to it. And thanks to the people behind the development of this phone, you would not get bored tinkering all the features that it has!

This Nokia Lumia 1020 has the following features:

41-megapixel PureView camera
Xenon flash with LED focus light
4.5-inch 1,280 x 768 pixel Super AMOLED display
Windows Phone 8
Dual-Core 1.5GHz Krait CPU, 2GB RAM
Manufacturer: Nokia

I’m not writing to be too technical here. I want to write more about the experience. There are just […]

Easy Cooking with Top Torikatsu

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

My world is very much influenced with Japanese culture lately. I have been watching One Piece, playing Pokemon, and I’ve been into Japanese food. I’ve been eating ramen, sushi and yakiniku! I love watching Cooking Master Boy and Yakitate Japan (anime about making bread)! It cannot be avoided, I have to make a Japanese dish that I, and my boy have been craving for! We are lovers of food – but not exactly cooks. So how do we do it?

I’ve heard of the latest product of Bountry Fresh that just made my day! Time is scarce for us since I’ve been busy with my pole dancing apprenticeship and Matt has been busy with his new job. Yesterday, we are just happy to spend time and cook together! An easy dinner for us, but a really delicious one thanks to the new Top Torikatsu by Bounty Fresh!

Local Antibacterial Soaps Side by Side Review

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

I’ve been on the lookout for antibacterial soaps this cold season since everyone around me is already getting sick. I go around the city, hold stair railings, press elevator buttons, use ATM machines, and hold money everyday.

For someone like me who is not afraid to explore the world, I would also need to have a strong immune system, plus an added protection to my skin – my first line of defense! I don’t want to hold back in my adventures only because I’m afraid of getting sick!

I travel quite a lot, and do street pole too! Which makes me so much exposed to germs, bacteria, and viruses. The skin is my first line of protection and I know that if I need to enjoy my daily activities, I need to stay protected!

I’ve also been doing Hot Yoga, and one of the general etiquette says, you must have showered or not […]

How to Empty Transport Box in Pokemon Bank

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

Everyone in the US is now enjoying Pokemon Bank that was just released today, February 6, 2014.

Pokemon fans who are now trying their way around the Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transfer seem to have this common question, “how to empty transport box pokemon bank”.

Simple, after transferring your Pokemon on the Pokemon Transporter from Black/White or Black 2/White 2, exit the application and go to Pokemon Bank. Then move your curser up and it showing the box on the left and you will see the Transport Box.

Select all Pokemon in the box by using the green cursor (click select until cursor turns green). Then, move this to desires box.

In doing this, you can transfer more Pokemon from Black/White and Black 2/White2 to the transporter box! Notice, you can only use one box (Box 1) in the Pokemon Transporter.

Happy transferring your Pokemon!

Kun Seng Keng Dragon Dance at Resorts World Manila

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

We just greeted the Year of the Wooden Horse with a very warm welcome and it is yet another reason to celebrate! New year, new chances, new opportunities! Let’s welcome the year with a big bang and brace ourselves for all the good things to come!
Last Saturday, me and Matt went to Resorts World Manila to be a part of their New Year celebration, the Imperial Festival.

There were different booths surrounding the stage area.

There were festive decorations everywhere and I felt like I was transported to another country.

Cherry blossoms behind us!

We went around the mall to eat and had our dessert at Crepes n’ Cream.

Lucky! Because we had a really good view of the Imperial Festival performances!

First up, the traditional Dragon dance.

This is the part where the Dragon chases the Pearl of Wisdom.

Next, was the Chinese Lion Dance.

All I could think of was “CUTE KITTIES!!!”

I was deceived, because as much […]

Valentine’s Dinner at Maxims The Terrace

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

It’s the month of love, and what better way to celebrate than to enjoy good food with your significant other/loved ones? Matt and I tried out the Valentine’s Dinner at The Terrace at Maxims. For a fixed price of P2,000 per person, you get to create your own 4-course dinner by selecting one item per course. You also have the option to pay a consumable amount of P3,000 and eat as many of the same dishes as you want, for example, for P3,000 you can just order the main course and dessert. Yaye for choices! For either choice, you get to have an Amuse Bouche with toasted baguette slices with assorted dips: Hummus, Baba ghanoush and Tapenade.

Chef Ben of The Terrace greeted us and enlightened us about the different dishes he was about to serve us. He explained to us that rather than drowning the food in sauces and spices, […]

My Most Embarrassing Dating Experience

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

Time to share some personal dating stories! After all, it’s still the month of hearts. There was a time when I was single for quite a while. I was not really actively dating because I was too busy and focused on my career, but I went out for coffee or dinner with a few guys.
It is inevitable, to be on a date with someone you thought you really like (well physically), then you find out they’re just jerks who are full of themselves! I was on a date with this guy I found attractive and as excited as I was to get to know him – well, my wish got granted. I DID get to know a LOT about him because he could not stop talking about himself!
All I did was say, really? Wow! That’s nice! Oh cool! No way! I was there to just react to whatever he is […]

7107 International Music Festival Survival Guide

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

I am so excited to be a part of this epic concert! To all of you who will be there, here are a few tips (in addition to the ones already in the survival guide) to prepare yourself for an awesome 7107 experience!
1. Read the 7107 Survival Guide
They just shared this a few hours ago. Read this a day before going to the venue so that you are prepared to bring/purchase any thing that you might need for the concert!

You can download the 7107 Survival Guide here to your mobile devices using Smart LTE. I have mine downloaded on my iPad!

2. Bring a Poncho
It is also mentioned in the survival kit. But I find ponchos very handy as compared to bringing umbrellas. For one reason, they did not mention specifically that you cannot bring umbrellas, but according to the Festival Rules, it might fall under “No sharp, studded, spiked, or […]

Pole Flair: Progress after Injury

Posted: January 1st, 1970 | No Comments »

It has been a while since I did proper training. After I got injured during November, I am just trying to start using my injured wrist again. Healing takes time and patience and it was so hard for me to sit tight and wait for my body to heal.

Pole has taught me that nothing is impossible. My body has proven that to me over and over again as I discover what my body can do when I constantly train.

Last Wednesday, March 5, 2014 – I was able to do one of the tricks I’ve been trying to do for a while. The Machine Gun!

Most of the decisions I make today involve prioritizing health and time over money. I am happy to be working at home so that I can train anytime of the day and not deal with the traffic anymore. I also filter my activities lately. It has to […]
