Reason behind the £40m Budget Cap on Formula 1

Posted: May 17th, 2009 | No Comments »

Rationale behind the cost  cap.
Believe it or not, the global crisis is once agian the deep culprit of this.   Difficult times would mean that costs spent for the Formula 1 race by the owners and sponsors are much likeley to be just in the “cost-to-cut” list.  I think the FIA is worried to have a financially unhealthy track and thought of this budget cap to make the race stable.  Though the FIA knows that the roots of the F1 race lies with the team’s freedom to tinker with the technicalities and strategize upon it, they believe that it must be done in a controlled and responsible environment watching innovation flourish within the teams without having to spend much.  There are pros and cons to this cap and some of the teams would be happy and some would be not.  Would it totally make a difference to the following years’ race?

That would be 3 years from now. Can I save for that trip in 3 years? lol … I don’t think so. I also hope they would have amber lounge there!  Not that it would do me good if they have one there, unless, I would get invited. LOL I’m obviously dreaming…

Hot Cafe Latte by The Java Man

Posted: May 17th, 2009 | No Comments »

I’m not a fan of coffee creamers and have always preferred milk with coffee. And that’s why cafe latte is one of my favorite hot drinks. Good thing that it’s a staple item in coffee shops.
One of the places I frequent whenever I’m craving for a latte is The Java Man. Their BF Paranaque branch […]

I love Avocado Shakes! It’s something that I try to enjoy once in awhile. And it’s a good thing that a local fruit store near our house sells ice blended avocado shakes.
So a few days ago, as I had nothing to do at home and feeling parched from the sunny weather. I decided to visit […]

Belgian Chocolate Creme by BoNa Coffee

Posted: May 12th, 2009 | No Comments »

A few nights ago, I was craving for some ice blended chocolate. Although I could have made some myself with Milo, milk, sugar and crushed ice at home, I decided to just go out and have it at one of my favorite coffee shops, BoNa Coffee.
BoNa Coffee’s ice blended Belgian Chocolate Creme is really a guilty pleasure for me. Thick, sweet and creamy – just like how I like it.

Gourmet coffee shops don’t just sell coffee and ice blended drinks. They actually sell a lifestyle. In the case of BoNa Coffee, it’s the bohemian lifestyle that marks this place distinct.
Every time I go to BoNa Coffee, there is always a sense of community that you feel inside. Quiet conversations, candid laughs and an artistic ambiance is what makes me come back to this place often.

Of course, there’s also free WiFi – but that’s another story. Do check out BoNa Coffee’s […]

iBlog5: The Philippine Blogging Summit Aftermath

Posted: May 12th, 2009 | No Comments »

Just last month, i wrote a blog entry about my experience as a participant at iBlog3 and iBlog4. It was through the blogging summit where i met other bloggers and at the same time learn from the speakers.

Mica and AJ by Arbet

Last Saturday, AJ and I gave a talk on the Basics of Blogging or simply Blogging 101. Ms. Janette asked me if I wanted to speak for the newbies. I was a bit worried since err… I have a slight phobia on speaking onstage. I then realized that this is a perfect chance for me to overcome that fear and at the same time share my  ideas on blogging.

AJ and Mica by Jen Juan

I rejoiced when I found out that AJ, the hottest gay blogger in the world, is my partner for the talk. We were both busy with our respective careers (charot!) that’s why we only managed […]

Posted: May 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

I used to play Pokemon Yellow, Red, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire and finaly Pearl and Diamond!  There’s something new to this world of pokemon and it is out in stores now!!!  the Pokemon Platinum for Nintendo DS!

Chuchu btw, is always the nick name I give to my starting pokemon which is always the water Pokemon.  In this case I have Pipulp.  They have the same starting pokemon as the Diamond and Pearl.

What’s new with the Pokemon Platinum:
1.  The star pokemon here is now Gratina
2.  Plus a new world in Sinnoh — Distortion world.  The name speaks of itself:
3. Vs. Recorder where it records a video of the battles you have had (just like the ones in my brute XD)
4. 60 more pokemon
5.  Massive use of Wi-Fi everywhere!  There’s Wi-Fi Plaza where you can connect with your friends!
6.  Box data – where you can share an image of your pokemon to […]
