The Thirsty Blogger Attends iBlog 5

Posted: May 11th, 2009 | 1 Comment »

I attended iBlog 4 last year as a stranger. Only a handful knows me and my blog, Ready To Be Rich. This year was definitely different, friends and acquaintances were there left and right.
However, I also came to iBlog 5 as a stranger (again). For not many people know that I’ve started a new blog. With a completely different niche from what they know about me. They don’t know that among them, The Thirsty Blogger lurks. (woot!)

Waiting for my turn to talk at the iBlog 5 surely made me thirsty. Good thing, the Zesto BIG 250 orange drink was there to quench it.

Strawberry Lemonade by T.G.I. Fridays

Posted: May 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

A meal at T.G.I. Fridays for me is not complete without having their Strawberry Lemonade. I never really wanted to order this before because I didn’t believe that it would taste good.

But years ago, a friend convinced me to try it, and I’m glad he did. It was one of the most refreshing drinks I had. And up until now, it’s still one of my favorite drinks.

Homemade Watermelon Shake

Posted: May 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

Summer or not, I believe it’s always a good time to drink watermelon shake. That’s how much I love having this fruit drink. And whenever there’s fresh watermelons at home, I make sure part of it is reserved for making some homemade watermelon shake.

The photo above came from a gigantic watermelon that was once brought home by my Dad. It’s got to be the biggest watermelon I’ve seen in my life.

Sandra Seifert is Miss Earth Philippines 2009!

Posted: May 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

I am just so amazed to know that she knows so much about her advocacy (i.e., waste segregation). Job well done miss Seifert! You have made us Negrenses proud! She’s oozing the right confidence, the perfect smile and the right brilliant and smart answers!
I don’t really watch beauty pageants. My mom is such a fan of it that while we were watching she just blurted out… “You just lacked the height Hannah, but you could be there as well” I was like ermmm… hehe not a chance I think!
The only thing in common between me and her is that we both are concerned for our nature.  Living green and environment conscious.  Pretty much same advocacy as mine.

2009 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix Results

Posted: May 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

Surprisingly, 6 drivers did not finish the race. majority of the retirees were out because of the dramatic crash at the 1st lap! Sadly, although Kimi made a great performance from 16th position to 10th, he had a mechanical problem there while he was trying to overtake Heidfeld. His engine just stopped right there and he drove his car right at the side to retire wah… Kimi could have done better than that if only his car did not roar to death.
Meanwhile, Felipe Massa was 4th on the grid but ended up 6th place because he nearly ran out of gas during the last laps and he had to sacrifice 5th place just to finish the race without having to pitstop. The Ferraris are really not getting their strategy straight now. Too bad for the driver potential that both Massa and Kimi have.
Alonso was deemed hero to have placed […]

iBlog5 Summit and It’s Munificent Speakers

Posted: May 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

I blog 5 years from now but it’s on and off. I had 3 different personal blogs before and now I decided to purchase my own domain, adaphobic.com. I first heard of iBlog since 2007 but I wasn’t able to attend iBlog3 and iBlog4 due to conflict school schedule. On May 9, I finally attended iBlog5 and I’m a lil bit late.

I saw familiar faces when I entered the hall and seated at Mica’s reserved seat beside Ed. But since she’s a speaker, I temporarily grabbed her seat, aw. Just for a short time.
My most awaited topics are the Video blogging 101 (Azrael Coladilla and Kring Elenzano) and Blogging to the Next Level (Fitz Villafuerte and Anton Diaz). I don’t know much about video blogging: like how to start one. The moment I’m listening to the speakers, there’s so many ideas came into my mind thinking what if I […]

Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix 2009 pre game

Posted: May 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

The man to watch out for this Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix 2009 is Filipe Massa. He’s in 4th pole position and he’s the only one in the pole who got KERS system… Kimi however pole’s at 16th… tsk tsk… poor Kimi, just go eat ice cream and be cute… anyway, you never know… I hope that at least he could get Ferarri extra score there Go Go Ferarri!!!

There’s something about the rain

Posted: May 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

It’s raining these days and I can’t help but agree with the writerxcharacter… There’s just something about the rain (Iba talaga pag umuulan)…  JJ, my future mandarin teacher also introduced me to the Japanese kiss the rain… I cried… lovely song nia… thanks!
What’s the song to listen when it’s raining…
1. Kiss the rain by Yiruma sung by Hienie…

Kiss the Rain Yiruma Lyrics:
VRS 1
I often close my eyes
And I can see you smile
You reach out for my hand
And I’m woken from my dream
Although your heart is mine
Its hollow inside
I never had your love
And I never will
CHORUS
And every night
I lie awake
Thinking maybe you love me
Like I’ve always loved you
But how can you love me
Like I loved you when
You can’t even look me straight in my eyes
VRS 2/3
I’ve never felt this way
To be so in love
To have someone there
Yet feel so alone
Aren’t you supposed to be
The one to wipe my tears
The […]

Red Iced Tea by Tokyo Tokyo

Posted: May 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

The first time I had Tokyo Tokyo’s famous Red Iced Tea was when I was a kid. I could say it was love at first sip. Before that, I was used to the usual instant lemon iced teas my mom makes at home. No wonder it was a very surreal experience to taste this unique ice cold drink at that time.

I remember bragging to my classmates back then about drinking this the next day at school. Some were intrigued while some were indifferent, but a few of them said they’ve also had it and indeed, it was unique and delicious.
