Deadlines

Posted: August 20th, 2009 | No Comments »

Deadlines. Dead lines.Don’t you just love beating deadlines? It is the timeframe you impose to yourself on how long a specific task must be completed. I remember asking my teachers to extend the deadline of our projects and assignments way back in high school. We were trained to submit everything on the dot or else we will be suffering the consequences.

You Have a Deadline to Beat. Stop Plurking!

As a student, I always thought that i’ll be able to escape from this deadline thing once I step out of school, but no. On my first home-based job as a virtual assistant, I was trained by my superiors to finish all my tasks (including daily reports) on a certain time. We rarely had extentions. I thought I could bum around as a work-at-home lady, but no. Thinking about a certain deadline before sleeping and being reminded asap when you wake up is […]

Same Stuff Blogging, Random Thoughts and a Jet-Setter September!

Posted: August 20th, 2009 | No Comments »

I have an issue, I can’t really blog when I know many people are blogging about some certain topic or that someone blogged about something first before me, unless it would make my blog totally different from them.  That’s why sometimes I don’t blog-hop even though I want to.  I don’t want to find out what other people are blogging.  Well not yet, until I think I have released the clog in my blog bowl.
Seriously, at this stage my project in my office is just getting a little bit more stable.  With this, it’s just now that I had the time to breathe, to look at my blog again… to blog again… attend events again… redesign my blog (layout, content-wise and ads positioning)  See I don’t earn much from this blogging.  That’s because I don’t have much time.
I have declined many event invites and I have witnessed plurk updates and […]

RCTV: Revolutionized, Cebu to the World

Posted: August 19th, 2009 | No Comments »

Somewhere last Friday, Cebu’s very own local television: RCTV, launched their new website RCTV.com.ph and also their uber cool new logo in Crossroads Vudu. The first logo was okay, but the second logo, this new one is actually the bomb! Giving way to its revolutionized concept, I actually like the way it looks.
RCTV
RCTV or Real […]

Tuesday Bliss and Kiss and TV5 @ mag:net

Posted: August 18th, 2009 | No Comments »

My bladder is all painful due to the alcohol I have been drinking these days >.<  And worse, I got my monthly visitor and I have to update my calendar on anewyou.com.ph The website usually sends me an SMS reminder 3 or 2 days before my period but I got mine early this month… weird…
Anyway, more work today…  Partied heavy last night though I missed one event that I so wanted to go because Mo Twister is the host.  It was Freeway’s event but sadly my work got in the way so, paiseh to Freeway’s PR I would have really wanted to be there!
I went to TV5’s launch at mag:net though.  They launched their late night shows and TV5 is really rockin’ the TV industry!  They are growing and I love all the well-thought shows they have.  I met quite a few new people, some old ones and new acquaintances.  […]

Arrival at Urbiztondo, La Union

Posted: August 18th, 2009 | No Comments »

Yoohooo! It’s my first time in La Union! We arrived around 8AM. First time is always so special, taking some photos would be great.

The last time I went to the beach was when I was in 3rd year College in Bagac, Bataan. I did not hesitate to join the Let’s Go Sago Surfing since the event is mainly for the benefit of WWF and the opportunity to surf is once in a lifetime experience.

The time we arrived was extremely hot.

It’s 8AM but the sun is madly directed to the earth causing the sand terribly hot and dry.

The sky is very clear. Hearing the sound of the waves, the banging of the waves to the rocks…

… and quiet laugh from children playing at far are really relaxing.

Then suddenly food for breakfast came…

After a while, I’ve fallen asleep… Part 3 to be continued.
If you are looking for more photos from the […]

Cai and Mica at the set of Kuya Bunso

Today, one of my bestest blogger friend is turning twenty two years old. She is pretty, smart, talented and not your ordinary girl. And yeah, she is in love with Pink.
I met Cai for the first time at the iBlog3. We instantly became good friends after knowing that we are both i.ph bloggers. We would regularly chat about our college projects and online rakets through YM since I was based in Dagupan City. When I finally transfered here in Manila to embark a career and explore the blogosphere, we became closer. I later on found out that we are both into film making and creative writing. She had done three short films already!
Want to know more facts about Cai Abbass? Read on!

1. She loves to doodle. Give her a number of colored pens and she’s happy.
2. She has more than 10 blogs. […]

The Cinemalaya Cinco Experience

Posted: August 14th, 2009 | No Comments »

As an aspiring film maker, I’ve always dreamt of attending the Cinemalaya Film Festival. I remember reading nice reviews from movie critics about some of my favorite Cinemalaya movies like Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros, Room Boy, Isnats, Endo and 100. I was based in Dagupan during that time. I wanted to go with a blogger friend last year to watch some movies, but my work schedule didn’t permit me to do so.

Cinemalaya Cinco Short Film Finalists

I am grateful to Gibbs Cadiz for choosing me as one of the five bloggers to cover the Cinemalaya Cinco event! Not only did I get the chance all the movies for free, but I was also able to meet and greet some of the directors and casts of the participating films. During the presscon which took place sometime in May, I got the chance to talk to Pepe Diokno of Engkwentro (where I […]

When The Person You Truly Love is Gay

Posted: August 13th, 2009 | No Comments »

‘Sa panahon ngayon, ruler na lang ang straight!’

Teh, sigurado kang straight yang katabi mo?

Three years ago, Katrina Halili was launched as a lead movie actress via the sexy-comedy flick ‘Gigil’. It’s basically about a girl working in a call center who’s engaged to be married with her boyfriend for five years. The guy is almost perfect – family-oriented (or Mama’s Boy?), very neat (vain!), responsible and most of all, handsome. Who would have thought that the groom would runaway with the best man on the wedding day itself? It might sound like a funny scenario, but if that happened to me in real life, I’d end up crying for months.

Please Be Careful.. Naka-stapler lang yan

‘Ingat ka diyan sa puso mo. Naka-stapler lang yan!’
Though I hate to admit this, I will still admit it here at my blog. Majority of the guys whom I had a crush on are either bisexual […]
