THANK YOU! – The Sweetness of Gratitude Photo Contest

Posted: September 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

‘THANK YOU’. Two simple words yet the impact is very strong. MARAMING SALAMAT. Dalawang simpleng salita na napakahalaga sa bawat isa sa atin. Don’t you just feel good whenever someone sends his/her gratitude whenever you do something to make a person’s life easier or to make them happy?

As I write this entry, I have a lot of things to be thankful for: My family in England is doing well, my career is on track, my friends and I surpassed some challenges yet we managed to stick to each other, my plans are turning into something big and many, many more! Indeed, life is really a box of chocolates – it might be bitter or sweet, but it’s quite addicting. I am really thankful for everything!
Though I am not really ’showy’ to my real feelings, I see to it that i say ‘Thank You’ to my family, friends or co-workers whenever […]

Ginger Iced Tea and More at Republic of Cavite Restaurant

Posted: September 10th, 2009 | No Comments »

In a recent trip to the historic Trece Martires in Cavite, I was able to eat in a restaurant replica of Emilio Aguinaldo’s mansion in Kawit – the Republic of Cavite.
Located along City Hall Road in San Agustin, this unassuming place is home to various Filipino dishes cooked Cavitenos-style.
But aside from the tasty cuisine that […]

Woot! A toblerone Photocontest! I was able to see this in Winston’s blog here and many others. Call me a freeloader but who can deny the power of something that is for free? So I might as well give it a shot using the photo above.
And of course, my picture has a story that goes […]

Contest: Say Thank You!

Posted: September 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

It is but natural for us to return “Thank Yous” and acts of gratitude to another who has done us good. It is very Filipino to build up that “Utang na Loob” attitude and so we tend to become obliged to return our thank yous to fellow Pinoys. And so it is not only on […]

Fresh Experience At Zest Air

Posted: September 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

Zest Air, former Asian Spirit, is known for its unsafe plane landing.
On June 25, 2009, Zest Airways Flight 863, with 54 passengers and five crew aboard, overshot the runway when it landed at Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, Caticlan. There were no injuries.

I didn’t mind the history of Zest Air. My flight only cost P976 (round trip) since lately, no bad news about Zest Air flights. I trust Bro

It’s raining hard in Manila, fortunately there were no flight problems or long delays. My flight Z2 839 was scheduled at 8:05 AM. Delayed flights is inevitable, good thing it is only 10-minute delay and boarded at 8:15 AM.

Zest Air planes are small, but the interior is refreshing, cool, and new.

There were only few people. I chose not to sit on the designated seat number instead, I pick a random seat near the window!

I was praying the whole time LOL!

We […]

Single Ladies By Princess Official Music Video

Posted: September 7th, 2009 | No Comments »

Just last month, Princess Velasco’s debut album ‘Addicted to Acoustic’ received its gold record award. I am really happy because another dream of hers turns into reality. She’s a real talented woman and I am quite sure you will agree with me once you see her perform onstage.
Anyway, her first music video for the song Single Ladies is finally up!

For some reason, I’ve been playing the video the whole night. I love this relaxing yet catchy version of the Beyonce hit. The video is simple and sweet yet addicting (diba Jehz? :P). If given the chance, I would love to direct one of her upcoming music videos.
What can you say about Princess Velasco? Any thoughts?

Freedom

Freedom is like water
Only in your deserts you’ll thirst for her
But no riches can buy her wells

– Poem: Joseph Hurtado
Freedom from fear…  the fear of the future…
There’s such a comfort in the thought of death… Knowing that you might die soon (like I did before when I thought I might have had cancer) will give you the courage or the “reason” (hehe) to do the things you want to do!  Hence, this blog is born and so many of my adventures to date!  Somehow it keeps on reminding me that life is too short.  Thinking that you’re dying is a great excuse to do crazy things you never thought you’d do like EAT A PIG’s BRAIN! (which reminds me, I need to post that video up!)
Freedom from embarrassment…
…and just laughing out your weird funny moments with the people that matter!  Ooooh yes I have tons to tell!  Ask my best […]

A few years ago I had the opportunity to go to Shanghai, China and even few years before that I had the same opportunity with Beijing and Shanghai.

There’s A Place Called Home

Posted: September 2nd, 2009 | No Comments »

There is actually several of those surrounding this small home. They are plastic flowers picked from the dump and a desperate attempt to […]
