The Nuffnang Blog Awards – first international blog event

Posted: November 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

I know this post is super delayed!
Anyway, I’ll just let you go through the most elegant blogging event I have ever been – The Nuffnang Blog Awards. How elegant? It was held in Singapore!! ! – at the grand ballroom of Pan Pacific Hotel.  I think there were around 400 bloggers from the region (Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines).  20 bloggers represented the Philippines (and it includes me) LUCKY!!!  I was one of the lucky winners of the Pringles and Uniquely Singapore contest and I was sent to Singapore with other Nuffies!
As you know, I just arrived from my Formula1 Singapore trip as well and yet I’m back? There’s just much to love about Singapore! and this event is definitely my chance to finally meet Tim, Ming, Mike, Robb, and Jessica!!! They are the ones I frequently talk to or stalk with online hahaha! and I finally got to […]

Join the ‘I Love Makati’ Video Contest!

Posted: November 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

When I was still a college student in Dagupan City, One of the goals that I wrote in my Livejournal blog is that I will work in Makati once I step out of the campus. I’ve been hearing a lot of successful corporate stories from some of our schoolmates who graduated ahead of my batch. Luckily, I was able to experience the life of a corporate girl based in Makati. Though commuting on my way to work is the most stressful part of the day, I’d still love to work there. Whenever I am in the area, I can’t help but wish that I’d be a corporate girl again…. Errmmm…. Ok not really LOL!

There’s just so many things to love about Makati like the malls, restaurants, museums, people, lifestyle and much more. Every Manilenyo has a Makati story to tell, I bet!
Do you know that there is an upcoming contest […]

San Marino Corned Tuna

Posted: November 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

Three months ago, I saw some teasers of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera at GMA-7 where they are in the beach chasing each other and showing their love as if its their last day together on earth. The viewers originally thought that the two will reunite in a movie or in a certain tv show. It turned out that the two are the newest endorsers of San Marino Corned Tuna products.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera in a new telenovela… NOT!
I am not a lover of Tuna products, but everything changed when I was invited at the bloggers launch of San Marino Corned Tuna last month. Not only am I impressed with their marketing strategy, but hey, the product is worth trying!

My verdict? San Marino Corned Tuna tastes as good as Corned Beef. What I also like about it is that it’s not really as oily as the other canned tunas […]

Globe Tattoo Cebu: Staying Connected

Posted: November 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

One of my wishlist objects for 2009 was a mobile broadband. On the night of the Philippine Blog Awards 2009, Globe surprised me by choosing me to be one of the 10 Globe tribal winners of Visayas and therefore fulfilling one of my wishlist: a Globe Tattoo Broadband Kit.
I was delighted to see that Globe […]

Noli Me Tangere 1912, tl. ed. — from my Grandma’s closet

Posted: November 7th, 2009 | No Comments »

When I was a kid, I have this annoying habit of going through my family’s stuff.
We used to live in a two-storey house in the province. Since the house is big enough for us and we don’t have maids to clean the entire house, my grandparents decided to abandon the second floor. Hence, all my […]

Mickey Mouse Makes It More Expensive

It’s amazing how branding can really make one cheap item a premium one. I experienced it during my time at HongKong Disneyland when I had the craving for some chocolate ice cream stick.

Sharing my 2006 Wish List

Posted: November 5th, 2009 | No Comments »

Google recently launched the Google Dashboard, a new service which gives users an overview of the user’s information in Google’s services.  Among the services I subscribed on in 2006 is Google Product Search. One feature of this service is to let you create your own wish list and publicly share it. I made mine three […]

Globe Tattoo Broadband: Perfect For Your Blogging Needs!

Posted: November 5th, 2009 | 1 Comment »

A few months ago, I was ‘kidnapped’ together with other bloggers by Globe. We originally thought we have to attend a formal press launch of Globe’s latest service since they required us to ‘dress to impress’, but we were surprised when they asked us to ride in the van and we all headed to a bar somewhere in Makati for the launch of Globe Tattoo. It was a fun-filled event wherein some prizes were given away.

One of the highlights of the event is the launch of Globe Tattoo Broadband. A few weeks after, some of my blogger friends got their own wireless broadband and so far, the reviews from them are good including one from Blogie Robillo, who is a blogger based in Davao. He is satisfied with Globe Tattoo Broadband since he was able to install the USB without much effort and you can use it not only in […]

But for me, I am more excited to welcome back my favorite Starbucks Holiday Featured drink – the Dark Cherry Mocha.

Regular Coke, Coke Light & Coke Zero Face Off

Posted: November 4th, 2009 | No Comments »

I was out with my friends from the gym last night and we decided to have dinner right after our work out. Interestingly, we ordered different variants of Coca Cola for our beverage.
And that’s when it hit me, it’s a good time for a Coke face off! The contestants – regular Coke, Coke Light and […]
