Get Personal with Senyorita and her travels

Posted: September 14th, 2012 | No Comments »

My best travel buddy on spotlight!
Mica owns Senyorita.net, a travel blog where she expresses her thoughts when she travels. It’s one of the blogs I read every update it has, her fun writings, adventures, and misadventures can be found there.

Aside from being a girl whom you can kaladkad (drag) everywhere, Mica has been my long time best travel buddy during my slacker days, well actually until now. I’ve learned a lot from this girl, she’s the first person who noticed my stinginess which I, myself, was not aware of.
She also mentioned that, it is really possible to travel on a very strict budget, but during the last day, try to treat yourself with pleasure like buying a Grande Frappuccino from Starbucks or eating in a famous cozy restaurant to complete the experience in the destination you’ve been.
She was right about this. Yes, you’ve gone to a place you’ve ever wanted, but how was […]

Conclusion: Highly recommended unique street theatre experience!
Warning: Battalia Royale is R17

I am such a huge fan of Battalia Royale.  I have seen this back in March 2012, I just watched it again today on September 13 for their tech run.  Thanks for our friends from Sipat Lawin Ensemble, Pepe and the Polygons and WhenInManila I got to see this again!
It’s generally the same, but what changes is the venue.  I believe some of the characters also changed but most of the main characters remain like my favorite Cacai, Sebastian and Jessie.  This time, I think their fighting choreography improved more, and the “blood” substance that they use is thicker!

What is Battalia Royale?
It falls under underground street theater with different groups collaborating to make it happen.

Yet another movie with John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo.  John Lloyd is hotter with his clothes on.  Bea looks amazing!

It’s quite a heavy story, but full of meaning.

The Mistress movie quotes:

"As long as I am alive, you will never be promoted to wife."

"Ang daming dahilan para hindi kita mahalin. Pero may isang dahilan para ‘di ko magawa yun. Mahal kita. Yun lang yun."

Anong karapatan mo, kabit ka lang!

"He keeps on doing that to you because you keep on forgiving him."

Di dahil gusto mo, makukuha mo.

A year older now

Posted: September 12th, 2012 | No Comments »

Before September 12 ends, I would like to thank all my blog readers, returning visitors, strangers, stalkers, fans, and everyone who keeps on going back to this blog despite of the lack of updates. Thanks to all of you and thanks for keeping my blogging spirit alive. Haha! I’m too lazy and too not-in-the-mood to blog. But I want everyone to know that I’m still here and I’m still alive. I’m somewhere in Lisbon, Portugal, but I’ll be back in the Philippines next week. Haha! Thanks and have a great afternoon to everyone! I know September 12 will almost be over in Manila, but here in Lisbon, it’s still around 2:30 PM. So I’m gonna enjoy the rest of the day strolling around Vasco da Gama Mall and riding the Lisbon electric tram in Chiado. Exploring Bairro Alto, Baixa Pombalina, and other places that I haven’t been to. […]

CONCLUSION: Great function at reasonable price!

AEE Magicam Underwater and Sports Camera
I got a chance to review the new AEE Magicam underwater and sports camera.  It’s less known to the public than GoPro here in Manila, but after using it, I conclude that it’s a pretty good contender.
Firstly, you have to compare this to the GoPro Hero 1 (not the 2).  Pricing is not yet set here in the Philippines since it is new but it will soon be available in Pixel Pro.  It should cost lesser than the GoPro Hero 1 and unlike GoPro which doesn’t include the LCD attachment in the initial purchase, this AEE does.
You can’t compare it to GoPro Hero 2, because clearly most specs are upgraded and it costs way more than the previous hero. GoPro […]

The Resurrection of the Pridyider

Shake, Rattle and Roll is the most successful movie franchise of Regal Films. By December, Mother Lily’s movie outfit will be producing their 15th SRR Trilogy! It seems like some kids do really want to spend the Christmas season by laughing and screaming at the movie house while eating popcorn and sipping soda. I’m too […]

Rani Indian Restaurant and Bar: An Authentic Indian Cuisine Experience

Posted: September 6th, 2012 | No Comments »

I never thought that my first authentic Indian cuisine experience will be in Kanagawa, Japan. There are lots of Indian Restaurant in the Philippines but I haven’t tried eating there once.

On my second day in Japan, my fiancé brought me in Rani, an Indian Restaurant and Bar situated in Yamato City, Kanagawa. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staffs and settled ourselves near the television which played a very weird and creepy cartoon series, seriously, kids cannot watch it. I wonder why they had that kind of cartoon there; my fiancé seemed to be entertained though.

There were few people eating that time. We ordered curry which I forgot the name as they all looked the same; I think I ordered a seafood curry with level 1 spiciness. While waiting for the food to be served, I was curious about the naan bread so I went near the kitchen and […]

This was the night I surrendered to the music of the night
I’m not a big theatre fan, but ever since I’ve seen good productions when I moved here in Manila, I started to be amazed with this industry!  Like “Where have you been all my life!?”  When I heard Phantom of the Opera is going to show in the Philippines I was ecstatic!

The Venue
Can I just say, I’ve fallen for the characters.  And when you’re watching it, it just affects you in every way possible.  It’s all about passion and unrequited love which I’m sure a lot of people can relate to.
"You alone can make my song take flight, It’s over now the music of the night"

I haven’t seen any plays or movies of the Phantom of the Opera […]

Since I’ll be doing the NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day Program, I must think of a way to add variety to my cereal which I will take twice a day for the rest of the 14 days.
First of all, the NESTLÉ FITNESSE cereals come with different flavors.  So, I can work on alternating flavors for one.
Second, I can incorporate more flavor to my cereal by adding fruits, using soy milk and dark chocolate bits, the list is endless!  My favorite has always been the original NESTLÉ FITNESSE flakes, milk, good bananas and mango
Healthy ways to make your NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day Program more interesting:

Add fruits to your cereal.  Like I said, banana and mango are my favorite fruits to add to my cereal.

Add nuts to your cereal. Try almonds, pistachios and […]

KaLui Restaurant is always jam-packed with tourists as it is actually the most famous restaurant in Puerto Princesa. Glad I was only wearing slippers that time as my feet stink so bad when […]

Random Thoughts on the 1st of September

Posted: September 1st, 2012 | No Comments »

It’s September. Virgos are about to turn a year older this month. I grew up with  two Virgos: My Mama Brenda and Lolo Peping. I also have some good friends and relatives who are celebrating their birthday this month. Want to know one common denominator about Virgos? They are good in handling money. Also, Taurus […]
