Another day, another discovery!
I haven’t been around The Fort in a while after I resigned from my corporate job. One thing I miss from the corporate life was eating around our area with my officemates at The Fort. Dining out was our way of coping with stress. We always lunch out on Fridays and we casually look for restaurants to eat.
And the place that I will feature today is Trio Restaurant at the Fort Strip at BGC. I’m still not used to calling that area BGC, I still call it “The Fort” but oh well.
If I was still working, I would highly recommend this place to my officemates. But since, I’m not working anymore, I still would recommend this place to my readers who want to bring in officemates or family to wine and dine at Trio. The concept of their restaurant is Familia Italia so bring your friends and […]

For many Pinoys in Metro Manila, the acronym ATM stands for an Automated Teller Machine – but in some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, an ATM could also mean the very ingenious Automated Tubig Machine. An ATM, as the title suggests, is a self-service coin-operated water vending machine. And I was lucky enough to […]

I’ve already written about the health benefits of soy milk. And I know some of my friends prefer drinking it over cow’s milk. But how about children? Is it safe for kids to drink soy milk or is it just for adults? Why would this be a concern? Well, primarily because soy milk contains phytoestrogen, […]

I must say, I am so reluctant to admit that at my 25 years of being here in the Philippines, I haven’t been to one of the most beautiful places in my home country – Palawan. I have heard the many good things people say about this place but sadly, some sad events happened too that I shared with you here. Apart from that, cyanide and dynamite fishing were very rampant, killing our coral beds leaving a small percentage alive.
“The World Atlas of Coral Reefs, compiled by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), reported that 97 percent of reefs in the Philippines are under threat from destructive fishing techniques, including cyanide poisoning, over-fishing, or from deforestation and urbanization that result in harmful sediment spilling into the sea.” (source)
I was amazed by the beauty of Palawan and saddened at the same time that the Palawan seas are very vulnerable to many […]

If you go to Jollibee today, you’ll notice a new drink that they’re promoting for summer – the Watermelon Sprite Float. Personally, it’s doesn’t sound really refreshing – maybe because I’m imagining all the sugar in the drink. You have watermelon flavored syrup, Sprite and of course, the vanilla soft-served ice cream. However, curiosity got […]

Earlier in one of my blog posts I mentioned how I miss reading again. Earlier this year, I also felt the quarter life crisis kicking in and I felt so depressed and confused but at the same time overwhelmed with the things that I need to do and the tasks that I needed to accomplish. […]

Bukidnon is well known for their pineapples, but also – the Church of the Monastery of Transfiguration in San Jose, Malaybalay City. I got to visit the majestic pyramid-shaped chapel last year and of course, buy some of the famous Monks’ Blend Premium Coffee right from the source. The high altitude of Bukidnon and the […]
