Health & Beauty: Aztec Secret – Facial Clay

Posted: December 9th, 2010 | No Comments »

Here’s the thing, looking after your skin doesn’t have to be expensive. When we were younger and we were just starting to grow the first pimples in our lives, we were taught that calamansi extracts (whitens the skin), brown sugar (exfoliates dead skin cells) and egg white mask (tightens pore) can do the tricks to […]

Posted: December 9th, 2010 | No Comments »

After a blistful adventure get away to Hundred Islands, we just can’t wait to arrive in Bolinao which will be our last backpacking destination. We chose Puerto Del Sol as our place to stay. I’ve only heard about Puerto Del Sol from true-blooded Pangasinense bloggers Mica and Anton. I thought it was just an ordinary […]

Travel and Reunion Jitters

Posted: December 9th, 2010 | No Comments »

While most Filipino bloggers are already preparing for the 2010 Philippine Blog Awards this coming Sunday, i am now busy doing last minute errands for my longest travel trip to date. I’m going to UK!

Carlo and Mama via Skype

It sounds fantastic, right? But hey, it was not an easy one. Completing my requirements for the visa application really made me emotionally stressed last month. I am used to doing things on my own, but this one is quite a hella ride. The anxiety even caused some irregularities to my menstrual cycle LOL. I am not really sure on how the other countries do process and decide whether to approve or deny a certain applicant, but you need to wait a few days in UK. Maga-grant ba ‘yung visa o hindi? Paano kung hindi? Waaah!

I’m glad to inform you all though that yes, i am now leaving the country and i […]

Strawberry Frost by Figaro at Bonifacio High Street

Posted: December 7th, 2010 | No Comments »

It’s been awhile since I last visited Figaro, and that’s why I decided to spend a few hours there the last time I was in Bonifacio High Street. I was not in the mood for coffee, and it was a sunny Tuesday afternoon – so I ordered a Strawberry Frost. Very creamy and sweet – […]

Pangasinan Bloggers’ Tour Day 3 – The Puerto del Sol Bolinao Experience

Posted: December 6th, 2010 | No Comments »

The highlight of our Pangasinan Trip is the last destination – Bolinao.
During the 80′s and 90′s, Bolinao was famous due to its scenic beaches and the Bolinao Lighthouse, which i believe is the second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines. Pinoy movie producers used to shoot some scenes there. Just a few years ago, the last Richard Gutierrez – Angel Locsin movie The Promise was shot there. It is also one of the locations of Marian Rivera’s Dyesebel.

It was a sunny morning when we woke up from our relaxing sleep at Islandia Hotel ( I slept for 9 hours!). We packed our things in an instant in order to catch the early trip to Bolinao.

We rode in a mini bus for approximately 45 minutes. We were all excited […]

Books. Passion. Nostalgia.

Posted: December 6th, 2010 | No Comments »

I didn’t know renewing my passion would feel this great. I was looking for my paperback copy of Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger this morning. This classic has been my favorite since I first read it back in 2002. I’ve read it a hundred times, most especially during the lowest times of my […]

Yakult: Probiotic Milk

Posted: December 4th, 2010 | No Comments »

I’ve been drinking Yakult since I was in Kindergarten – and years after, I still do. But not solely because of its claimed health benefits, but I guess more than anything else – it’s because of the memories it brings whenever I open one. Memories such as eagerly waiting for the Yakult lady to come […]

Pangasinan Bloggers’ Tour Day 2 – Alaminos City and Hundred Islands Adventure

Posted: December 2nd, 2010 | No Comments »

Before I proceed to this travelogue, i want to confess something first: I haven’t been to Hundred Islands in Alaminos City, Pangasinan prior to this trip despite the fact that live only 1 1/2 hrs away from it.

Are you ready for the ultimate Hundred Islands adventure?

It is the reason why I am excited to go to Hundred Islands. As a little kid, i remember my father passing through the port of the Hundred Islands National Park, but I never really had the chance to ride in a boat and explore Pangasinan’s most prized tourism destination. If you’re favorite subject in Elementary is Civics and Culture or Sibika at Kultura, you surely had that urge as a little kid to go to the Hundred Islands and simply be amazed on how these islands appeared in that clean body of water. Whew.
When Anton and I were discussing about the Pangasinan trip, I […]

It’s basically a new breed of cattle that’s more flavorful, more tender and more juicy than your ordinary Angus beef. And last […]

Pangasinan Bloggers’ Tour Day 1 – Exploring Dagupan, Calasiao and Lingayen

Posted: December 1st, 2010 | No Comments »

I was born and raised in Dagupan City. I started out blogging when I was in high school but i started blogging publicly in college (through my .i.ph blog). As a student, i kept on blogging about my whereabouts including my dream of working in Manila. I wanted to pursue a careeer in IT way back, and going to Manila is the only solution that i saw. Although I’ve been working in Manila since 2008, i can say that nothing compares to the place you call home <3

Dagupan Boneless Bangus from Plato Wraps Restaurant

Here’s the summary of our First Leg – Photo and Puto walk in Calasiao, Lunch at Plato Wraps Restaurant, Tambay at Lingayen Capitol Park and Lingayen Gulf, Dinner at Matutina’s and Pigar-Pigar Experience in Galvan Street.

After claiming my visa, i went straight to Five Star Cubao to take a night trip home to Dagupan. The bus left […]

Sa Balai Bistro: Organic Mulberry Iced Tea and More

Posted: December 1st, 2010 | No Comments »

Traveling has always given me several opportunities to try out new and interesting drinks. And my recent trip to the city of Koronadal in South Cotabato is no exception. Seated along Abad Santos street is a place called Sa Balai Bistro. It’s a quaint two-story restaurant-bar owned by Chef Carlo Ebeo. Locally, this place is […]
