Thank you so much to everyone who took time in sending their latest Food and Dining places discOVIries. We really had a hard time choosing for the short listed entries and now we have a winner!
The winner for the first week of my DiscOVIry contest is Maria Cecilia T. Velasquez! Here’s the winning entry:
Sabins Hotel in Ormoc City is the perfect place to be, not just for their accommodations but also if you just want to spend a lazy afternoon drinking beer, eating pizza, and stuffing yourself with their infamous paella while checking Facebook with their reasonably fast wifi connection and a spectacular view of Ormoc Bay. The sunset in Sabins Hotel is truly beautiful!
My favorite pizza flavors are the Seafood and Supremo which come in super thin crusts. As for the paella, I recommend the Sol Y Mar which has seafood, chicken, and pork. I love working online while […]

I’m always in search for great music. I am keen in listening to bands and music that are rare and never heard before (here in the Philippines) and share it with friends. When I was in High School (10 years ago) I had an affection for Koren Pop music… at that time, only a few people in the Philippines appreciate Kpop music. I think I was the only one and some 3 friends who love Kpop music in our province Bacolod… but if you notice now, the Kpop Fanatics in the Philippines has grown…
When I discover great music, I share… here’s my recent discovery.
Music is food for the soul. And if you’re trying to veer away from junk food, then it’s time you listened to Rendezvous for a healthy and filling audio treat.
Perhaps you haven’t quite heard of Rendezvous yet, but even if you didn’t come across this post, you […]

Yeay! Finally, a weekend I can call relaxed and refreshing. It wasn’t the best weekend I had but I liked it much, well save for the fact that I went to the ER again last night after a long time because I was crying with a friggin headache and I was vomitting blood.
Anyway, what made […]

Calling all men. It’s time to wear the pants.
“Once upon a time, men wore the pants, and wore them well. Women rarely had to open doors and little old ladies never crossed the street alone. Men took charge because that’s what they did. But somewhere along the way, the world decided it no longer needed men. Disco by disco, latte by foamy non-latte, men were stripped off their khakis and left stranded on the road between boyhood and androgyny. But today, there are questions or genderless society has no answer for. The world sits idly by as cities crumble, children misbehave and those little old ladies remain on one side of the street. For the first time since bad guys, we need heroes. We need grown-ups. We need men to put down the plastic fork, step away from the salad bar and unite the world from the tracks of complacency. […]

Tsim Tsiu or Mano Po is the Filipino-Chinese act of receiving a blessing from an elder relative by means of gently making contact between the hand of the elder and the forehead of the youth.
Tsim Tsiu is literally translated as Kissing the hand but is now adapted in the form of contact between hand and […]

I’ve always wanted to eat at Joey’s since this place is just 1 trike away from our house, but I can’t come there alone. So I asked a friend to eat there.
Crews are really hospitable as in very very, to the maximum level! I’ve never encounter such hospitable crews in a dining restaurant like them. Though waiters are that not cute, I find them cute na! Really warm and very hospitable.
We’re so haggard that day, we sat there, then a 5-minute inhale and exhale. Really we’re so tired that day! Here comes the menu book now..
We ordered Lotto Appetito (Chicken Fingers, Mozzarella sticks, and Roma Tomatoes). This is good for 4 to 5 persons. For only P270.00.
I ordered their Mafia Meal Set 4 (Pasta , Salad,1 Bread and Single serve Drink). Their pasta is available on Bolognese, Pesto, Carbonara. For only P155.00.
While my friend ordered Mafia Meal Set 6 (2 […]

I once did a post about Sutukil in Mactan Cebu. Now I’m going to share a little experience in “No Problem” Sutukil.
The sutukil restaurant was named as such because they once had tranny waiters/waitress (or somewhere in between) who would answer to you in the common phrase: “no problem!”
You ask for water they answer ‘No […]

After staring hopelessly at the TV screen while the commercial went on, I grew restless and hungry for the new Red Ribbon Chocolate Heaven cake.

I would like to thank everyone who sent their photos and recommendations to the first week of my Nokia OVI contest! The photos you’ve sent are mouth-watering and thinking of whom to pick for the shortlist made me really hungry
The theme for this week will best suit our lakwatseros and lakwatseras like me. Mind to share your Must-visit travel destinations? Whether that is located somewhere in Luzon, Visayas or Mindanao, it doesn’t matter. I am looking for something that is something the Philippines will be proud of.
