Thank You for Choosing Micamyx!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

The 2009 Philippine Blog Awards (Luzon) was held at PETA-PHINMA Theatre last Friday, October 9. I went to the venue straight from the office and got the chance to go around and meet some old and new faces in the blogosphere.

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who took time and voted for Micamyx.com as their choice for the Bloggers’ Choice! Honestly, I was a bit hesitant when I received a nomination from three people for the Personal category. Unfortunately, I  failed to enter the final list I received another nomination for the Bloggers’ Choice award and upon reading the requirement which is to make a post indicating your intention, I decided to give it a try. There’s no harm in trying, right? And your co-bloggers will be the ones to judge this time and yes, I really want […]

Guess my ringtone!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

I would have wanted to post a video blog for this but my internet’s bandwidth is as slow as a snail sleepwalking because I’m only using my mobile’s GPRS!
I wouldn’t linger much on the intro just hit play now and listen to what it is.

ah yes, lovely… lovely…
It’s my mom’s influence.  I like her oldies playlist, it’s just soothing to the ears… and since I have two cellphones… listen to the ring tone of my other one…

Fallen – by Lauren Wood
Ah… yes… my mom’s favorite movie… Pretty Woman… and this is the OST.
I’m sorry but I can’t help but post this other video I have discovered as well.  I was in the process of looking for this song in youtube when I encountered this clip…

I know right, after watching, it would make you want to fall in love again… But before going all emotional… Isn’t that Fernando Jose? From […]

Indulge in Uniquely Singapore!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

Singapore is one of the Asian countries that I would love to visit. Actually, some of my friends were inviting me to visit one of the most disciplined countries in Asia. The plan never pushed through because I am sort of lazy to renew my passport, which expired in 1999 (Ten years ago! LOL).

Just last month, the same set of friends were forcing me to renew my passport so that we can easily go to Singapore. Well, why not? Singapore is merely three hours away from the Philippines and I’ve seen a lot of tourist spots and activities that I can do there with my friends! And yes, Nuffnang will have their first Nuffnang Blog Awards in Singapore where my dear nyok friend Jehzlau is nominated in the Most Influential Blog Category. Going to Singapore to gallivant and witness your friend’s shining shimmering splendid moment with some of the most […]

Bagyong Pepeng in Northern Luzon

Posted: October 9th, 2009 | No Comments »

Just this morning, I read some Plurks of concerned individuals regarding the present condition of provinces like Benguet, La Union and Pangasinan wherein Bagyong Pepeng is keeping the provinces devastated with the heavy rain pours and strong winds.

As someone who resided in Pangasinan since birth, I can say that the people in our province are used to this scenario already. I admire how my fello Pangasinense are able to cope up with such tragedy despite the fact that Norther Luzon received less media exposure and donations way back.
The cyber bayanihan through Facebook, Twitter and Plurk done during the Bagyong Ondoy season proven that Bayanihan still exist among us Filipinos. Now, our brothers and sisters from up north needs your help.

Just last night, I heard via DZMM livestream that around 1000 people were stranded in SM Rosales in […]

When TV Stars Become Superheroes in Real Life

Posted: October 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

The attack of Typhoon Ondoy in the country especially in Metro Manila taught a lot of Manilenyos an important lesson in terms of choosing the location of our investments, stocking some food for emergency, staying at home to look after your properties and your family’s safety and much more. Since I came from a city where typhoon strikes at least twice a year, I can say that I am already used to this scenario and up to this day, I am still amused on how my fellow Pangasinense can cope up with such unfortunate events (will write more about this on my upcoming blog post).

Indulge in the Uniquely Singapore Experience

Posted: October 8th, 2009 | No Comments »

To travel in all Asian countries — it is in my bucket list. I’ve never traveled outside country, but given the opportunity to travel, Singapore would be my very first and memorable place to be! Traveling to SG would be possible through Nuffnang!

Sentosa shot.
It will be my first time!! So I’ve got to plan my 1-day DREAM itinerary!! Yay!!
It will all start in food!
8 AM – Laksa for breakfast or Nasi Lemak at the nearest coffee shop!
9 AM – Sentosa! I’m gonna buckle up for this one. The famous spot in Singapore! Will not miss this very popular resort in Singapore.
I gotta try the Tiger Sky Tower, Sentosa 4D Magix, and The Flying Trapeze. I love heights!
It seems hard to get away from Sentosa, I just wanna feel the place more, walk, and take more photos. But I need to tour more! MERLION!
12 NN – Singapore Zoo at […]
