Can you see the stickman behind the letters? Or the letters behind the stickman? Introducing the brand new logo of Jehzlau-Concepts.com. I finally made a bold move to change my good old handwritten logo to a brand new logo depicting two elements in one figure—The blue stickman (but now with a lighter hue) and the acronym J and C (Jehzlau Concepts).
I made it more simple and more modern. I noticed that the trend nowadays are flat, light and neat (no skeuomorphism anymore), like the iOS7 user interface, the not-so-new Microsoft logo, the recent infographics I made for 199jobs.com, and the new app icons in of most mobile applications today.
Below is the large format (800×800 @ 300DPI) of the new logo [The base resolution of my logo is 4000×4000 @ 300DPI]:
The making of the new JC logo:
The new logo I made is now vector-based. Unlike before I just doodled […]

People who don’t live in Ireland, or understand the sheer amount of natural beauty that it possesses, may think that a holiday in the country should be based around the big cities. Thousands flock to Dublin and Galway every year because of the vibrant nightlife, cultural opportunities and all-round fun atmosphere but that is certainly […]

Finally! I achieved the grade of double 99% in Gossamer Threads metrix using my old Jehzlau Concepts theme that I will make publicly available for download very soon. I’m still tweaking my theme and removing unnecessary codes to achieve 100% loading speed.
I got a perfect score of A on Page Speed grade and almost perfect score of A with one B on Yslow grade. I’ll be updating this post soon about the things I did and server modifications I made to achieve such blazing fast page load speed!
Right now I’m using Timepiece from WordPress.com. This one is slower (95% PSG and 94% YSG) compared to my default Jehzlau Concepts theme, but I’ll try to make this faster to achieve the 99% page load speed grade like my previous theme. I love this theme because it’s sleek and responsive and I think I’ll be using this from now on. [UPDATE 10/04/12 […]

Despite being struck by flash flooding a few years ago, Madeira is back on form and, as a perfect spot for some autumnal or winter sun, this island just off the coast of south-west Portugl would be ideal as a last minute break this September. First and foremost, I would like to inform you that Jehzeel Laurente, the owner of this blog, died at 7:31 PM on September 12, 2013 from congestive heart failure, ventricular fibrillation and cardiomyopathy. I’m his insurance policy and he instructed me to publish this post and take over his blog when the time comes that he no longer lives in this planet.
Jehzeel told me that he wants this blog to still exist in the world wide web, even after his death. So I’m here, taking over jehzlau-concepts.com. I’ll be updating this blog from time to time whenever I can and I will post more articles, more often than Jehz does, to keep this blog alive.
Expect more updates from this blog in the next few weeks. I may not be Jehz, but I’ll try my best to keep this blog up and running. I will also update this social networking accounts, […]
