The Lost Planner

Posted: September 21st, 2011 | No Comments »

Don’t you just hate it when all of a sudden, that single planner where you faithfully write all your memorable whereabouts and schedules disappear? Whether it is misplaced or stolen, loosing such item can be a pain in the mind and heart. Imagine how heartbroken I was when I found out that my planner for […]

A fine head of hair adds beauty to a good face, and terror to an ugly one. ~Lycurgus
Just borrowed this quote from Lycurgus – an ancient name, a law-giver in Sparta. Even in the old times, they recognize that hair is a big part of your appearance. Hair influences our over-all look. It could add beauty or terror.
Terror – big word!
Why terror? Remember in those horror movies where you see a ghost in really creepy hair? (I was supposed to insert a picture of Sadako, but upon Google-ing it, it scared the hell out of me!!!)
Such big words. But does hair really matter?
To me, it is. I was so bored with my flat, black hair that I’ve had for 20 years and I decided to tinker with it. I did a […]

Humility

Sometimes I think I’m too friendly that I can’t say “no”.
Sometimes, I underestimate my value.  I thought I was being humble.  But it’s not.

What is humility?

Humility is freedom from pride and arrogance.  It’s a modest estimate of one’s own worth.
But clearly, I have undervalued my own worth.

It only took a friend’s word to make me realize this.  Today, a friend told me that I could do more when I focus and that I am beyond my current self-evaluated state.

Only a genuine friend would help a lost sheep in the big city.

You know who you are friend, thank you!  Thank you for changing my life!

I just realized today that I am more than what I have been seeing myself.

From the race track to the dance floor!  Fashion, sports, music, rhythm and glamour all combined together!

Amber lounge is the hottest, most exclusive after party in the F1 world. It’s the party everyone’s looking forward to. Amber Lounge only happens in selected countries and Singapore is one of them!  I dream to also experience Amber Lounge in Monaco!
Remember that scene in Iron Man 2 where Tony Spark used his portable suit of armor?

They were battling at the F1 race track!  On another scene, you will see him partying at Monaco’s podium lounge.  I just dream of joining celebrities all around the world in Amber Lounge and follow it wherever it goes.
This event is attended by the drivers/racers, sponsors, international models and even some hollywood celebrities and musicians – gathering together to […]

Whenever you attend or watch F1, there’s always motorsport drama!

A lot of F1 racing fans have been complaining that there are already too many rules in Formula 1 racing that it seems like it’s not racing anymore!  They have refueling and tire rules, overtaking guidelines and many other rules.
Lewis Hamilton begs to disagree.  For those of you who aren’t motorsports fans and don’t know Lewis Hamilton, he is the current boyfriend of hot lead Pussycat Doll Nicole Sharzinger!  Get the connection now?  Anyway, Lewis was as asked if Michael Schumacher’s driving had been fair on their latest Italian Grand Prix and he said “Yeah, that’s racing.”
The drama and the action doesn’t end!  Formula 1 is more than just speeding cars passing you by, there’s a whole lot story behind every team, […]

Where is this McDonald’s?

Posted: September 11th, 2011 | No Comments »

To celebrate Mcdo’s 30th anniversary in the Philippines, we’ll be having another oh-so-cool contest! This contest is just another super easy guessing game, similar to my previous “guess that movie” contest! The mechanics are simple. I have 4 photos of different McDonald’s branches in the Philippines below and all you need to do is guess which branch of McDonald’s is shown in the photo! Isn’t it easy?

You need to guess all four correctly in order to win a special prize from McDonald’s! The photos of McDo branches are numbered 1 to 4. The first 4 who can guess the 4 photos correctly will win a trip for 2 to the United States! […]

So here’s my story.  I just got back from a shoot at GMA and I was like “so sayang my makeup! let me do a photoshoot”… Then it rained T___T but you know what they say, when life throws you lemons, make lemonade.  And that’s exactly what I did.  When the rain got lighter, I went out of the house, made use of the gloomy weather and ta-da!

thanks to my boy for helping me take this photo…
and after a few hours, I had pole class.  I wanted to climb the pole with it

Thanks to Mommy Tricia, and my other polemates for helping me take this photo

The word “Geek” has transformed over time.  Back then it was such an anti-social term.
But right now, when you say geek, you think Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.
As a kid, I had this great passion for numbers and science.  Yes, you’d call me a geek nerd.  I was a bookworm as well and the bookstore and the library was my happy place.  I wanted to be astronaut as a kid.  But when I grew up, that dream perished because I know it’s not happening for me here in the Philippines.
I just have to satisfy my craving for learning of the outer space by watching science fiction like The Justice League, Superman, Smallville, Roswell, etc.
It was, and still is my dream of seeing the earth from outer space!
If you have […]
