An Open Letter to my Five Boy Friends

Posted: October 13th, 2009 | No Comments »

I had a blast last week with the Bloggers’ Choice award that I received. The other afternoon, I received an email indicating that I won in an online writing contest that pushed me to renew my passport (which expired ten years ago LOL) immediately. I’m thankful that DFA responded in my online application query just in time. Just this afternoon, I went to DFA and processed my papers. I’ll be claiming my passport on October 22, a day before my flight ^_^

The photo above was taken in a blogger event sometime in December last year. When my friend took this photo and I saw it, i told him that this photo depicts a thousand words and I’m going to use it in a blog post soon. Now this is it!
Anyway, the title of this post and the photo above has nothing to do with the blog title hehe. I simply […]

Definition

Posted: October 13th, 2009 | No Comments »

Insomnia Nights = Creative Writing
But that’s not what I’m trying to define!
What I’m trying to define is a person…
But I stopped…
because the more I try to think of a definition, the lesser fun I get out of it…
So screw the dictionary, It’s not there!
Stop looking for a synonymn in the Thesaurus, you won’t find any!
Forget definition and just have fun!
Sometimes, we tend to categorize people…
But what the heck, not in my circle!
If you’re a friend… you’re a friend!
If I talk to you and smile and say  “hi” to you… You are a friend…
and I’m just so lucky that you are all with me…
In my ups… you all are happy and celebrate with me…
When I’m so down… all of you comfort me…
Thank you…
I have a wonderful gift of friendship from you all…
It’s a genuine treasure that I keep with me with whole sincerity…
If you’re reading this, this is for you…
I have […]

Alo Youth Aloe Vera Drink

Posted: October 12th, 2009 | No Comments »

Feeling a bit adventurous? Then try drinking Aloe Vera! There’s a new product in the grocery called Alo Youth and it’s an aloe vera juice drink from RFM.
I really had second thoughts of buying this drink when I first saw it. But I eventually decided to, out of curiosity and for the sake of this […]

New Flair Candy Car – A Birthday Gift

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

OMG Mom totally bought me a new car?!? As a gift for my birthday! **faints** …and… **tears** Who’s gonna roll with me for a test drive???
What daughter am I to deserve it… awww.. I love you mom!!! **tears** I will miss my Honda Civic esi though, it has been with me for a long time and it has brought me good and bad ‘ol memories and definitely the most embarrassing ones one could ever experience!
It already has a part of my soul…
I have a deep bond with my car that at an instance I will know what is wrong with it even if I know nothing about car mechanics!
Anyway, I think this is one of the signs pointing right out to a new chapter in my life… The sign is not the gift… The sign is my mom’s gesture!  A sign of love that tells me she supports me in […]

Thank You for Choosing Micamyx!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

The 2009 Philippine Blog Awards (Luzon) was held at PETA-PHINMA Theatre last Friday, October 9. I went to the venue straight from the office and got the chance to go around and meet some old and new faces in the blogosphere.

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who took time and voted for Micamyx.com as their choice for the Bloggers’ Choice! Honestly, I was a bit hesitant when I received a nomination from three people for the Personal category. Unfortunately, I  failed to enter the final list I received another nomination for the Bloggers’ Choice award and upon reading the requirement which is to make a post indicating your intention, I decided to give it a try. There’s no harm in trying, right? And your co-bloggers will be the ones to judge this time and yes, I really want […]

Guess my ringtone!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

I would have wanted to post a video blog for this but my internet’s bandwidth is as slow as a snail sleepwalking because I’m only using my mobile’s GPRS!
I wouldn’t linger much on the intro just hit play now and listen to what it is.

ah yes, lovely… lovely…
It’s my mom’s influence.  I like her oldies playlist, it’s just soothing to the ears… and since I have two cellphones… listen to the ring tone of my other one…

Fallen – by Lauren Wood
Ah… yes… my mom’s favorite movie… Pretty Woman… and this is the OST.
I’m sorry but I can’t help but post this other video I have discovered as well.  I was in the process of looking for this song in youtube when I encountered this clip…

I know right, after watching, it would make you want to fall in love again… But before going all emotional… Isn’t that Fernando Jose? From […]

Indulge in Uniquely Singapore!

Posted: October 11th, 2009 | No Comments »

Singapore is one of the Asian countries that I would love to visit. Actually, some of my friends were inviting me to visit one of the most disciplined countries in Asia. The plan never pushed through because I am sort of lazy to renew my passport, which expired in 1999 (Ten years ago! LOL).

Just last month, the same set of friends were forcing me to renew my passport so that we can easily go to Singapore. Well, why not? Singapore is merely three hours away from the Philippines and I’ve seen a lot of tourist spots and activities that I can do there with my friends! And yes, Nuffnang will have their first Nuffnang Blog Awards in Singapore where my dear nyok friend Jehzlau is nominated in the Most Influential Blog Category. Going to Singapore to gallivant and witness your friend’s shining shimmering splendid moment with some of the most […]
