I have made a lot of decisions about love, career and money this year. Luck has a peculiar habit of favoring those who don’t depend on it, and I’m one of those people. I believe in hardwork and working for what you want more than luck.  But this year, it has been on my side, winning contests twice… winning many contests, always getting my name picked on raffles and best of all, lucky to have good friends who support me and help me in any way they can.
It’s the last day on the 2009 calendar. I can only list the many good things that happened to me this year but I have to leave for now as my aunt ant uncles are going to pick me up to celebrate new year once again at Dusit Hotel.Â
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

The New Me: I gained weight, and my skin is lighter! Read my success story!
I was born cute. ^^ Remembering old times, we can’t escape our unpleasant childhood memories.
During my childhood years, I am often mistaken as ampon. Probably because my siblings are fair-skinned, well-nourished, and have straight hair. While I am nog-nog, malnourished, and kulot.
I really don’t care about my looks that time. I seldom look in the mirror not aware that I look terrible and know nothing about beauty.
With my lack of physical beauty, I compensate by being a good person and boosting my personality. But why am I feeling like there’s something missing? How do I find the missing part?
I look into the mirror and I feel like it was talking to me. What did the mirror say? “You’re the ugliest kid I’ve ever seen. Payatot, nognog. Go away!” Then I realized what part of me is […]

This is just another year-end post. To fulfill the so-called yearly “blogger’s tradition”, I’ll be writing my 4th year-end post in this blog. 2009 was a great year and a lot of unforgettable experiences happened that I can’t forget, because it’s unforgettable. I only made 26 posts last 2009, good thing my blog still survived despite of the scarcity of blog posts.
If you want to read my previous year-end posts, here you go: 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Anyway, here are some of the note-worthy things that happened to me and my blog (and my other blogs) in the year that was.
1. Appeared twice in national TV channels: QTV and ABS-CBN (Walang naka record sa Probe feature and tinamad din akong e upload ang copy ko. T_T)
2. Represented the Philippines in the first Asia-Pacific Blog Awards
3. Made more than a million pesos in just 1 month for the first time
4. Invented the […]

It’s the 31st of December 2009! It simply means that this is the last day of the year. Later on, most families will have reunions and will say hello to 2010 with a big bang!
My First Candle Shot using LX3 =)
How was your December? Mine’s pretty colorful. I went to different places (Dagupan, Davao, Pampanga, Tagaytay and now Subic!) and went out with a number of people. Though I want to blog about everything right now, I think i really can’t. I am still overwhelmed with the wonderful developments in my life, but to give you a glimpse, here’s a random bulleted list update:
* Christmas Party Galore! – Attended the Digital Filipino, Blog4Reviews, Pinoy Parazzi and the two versions of Rodriguez Family Reunion. I will blog about it soon!
* Misa de Gallo and Heavy Breakfast Kapampangan Style – Thanks to Geiser Maclang and Kraft for making this possible! Heavy kung […]

This is officially my first blog post as an unemployed individual! Â I AM FREE!!!
I have decided not to go corporate anytime soon. Â I vowed to myself to have at least two months of “me” time / vacation before considering the possibility of applying for a company and industry I would want to be in again. Â Even so, I still think I’d stop working and focus on my blogging and internet marketing since I still earn at least enough to keep me alive and fund my hobbies.
Although, I think I would also need to “save” more. Â To be honest, I don’t have solid savings from the 2 years I worked in a company (shame). Â Yes! Â I am poor, I have no savings. Â I spent them all on gadgets and travel. Â I said to myself that I will spend and enjoy the earnings I had first before I save and plan for […]

The Venice Piazza Mall at McKinley Hill near The Fort is slowly becoming a great spot for foodies and one restaurant that recently opened there was Little Asia.

Christmas in the Philippines
A Christmas Lantern in the Christmas Capital of the Philippines
(1st Place winner to the Keso de Gallo photo contest sponsored by Eden Cheese)
The Philippines has been greatly influenced by Spanish traditions and Misa de Gallo is one of them. Â Misa de Gallo is a Spanish phrase which means “Midnight mass.” Â In Spain, Misa de Gallo pertains to a midnight mass starting around 12am on Christmas eve.
Here in the Philippines, we have a novena of a series of 9 dawn Masses (usually around 3am to 4:30 am) starting from December 16 up to the eve of Christmas, December 24. Â Filipino farmers in the early days would want to attend Christmas masses but they could not leave their fields in the day. Â With this, the priests held early dawn masses to these farmers and they were held before day break and thus the term “Simbang Gabi” or Midnight Mass. […]

Kraft Eden’s 9 Days of Cheese-mas with Keso de Gallo
It may be the season of gift-giving or Santa Claus but if there’s one thing Filipinos can relate to more than anything, it’s the food.
That’s why during this time of the year, the spotlight is, more than ever, on the kitchen creativity of females who are tasked to concoct sumptuous Noche Buena dishes for the whole family. For most Pinoys, togetherness and merriment during Christmas means bonding over yummy feasts in a roomful of family and friends. Or that was how it used to be until the recent onslaught of typhoons that destroyed homes and took lives of many Filipinos.
But even if a lot of people may have lost properties or loved ones, the innate optimism still lies in the Pinoy blood and this inspired Kraft Eden Cheese to bring back the joy and faith of Filipinos during […]

Few months ago, I crammed a birthday card for my friend Melai. I went through my old scrapbooking materials and I came up with this:

On one of five nationwide visits that will take it through key cities in the country, the Coca-Cola HALika! Caravan successfully raised P115,407.30 during its culminating charity workout in Manila last December 19, 2009.
More than 700 participants attended the event, which was held at the Rajah Sulayman Park, Manila. Participants sweated it out for a good cause, burning a total of 115,407.30 calories. For every calorie lost, one peso was donated to the Smart Future Foundation, a non-profit organization offering scholarships, financial assistance and feeding programs to less fortunate children and their families in Paco, Manila. The group also provides educational training for the visually impaired.
This year marks the biggest HALika! campaign to date with the introduction of the Caravan, which will bring the message of healthy and active living to Filipinos.
HALika! is grounded on three key values which anyone, no matter who or where they are can do: balanced […]
