Lopez Museum celebrates 50th anniversary

Posted: February 6th, 2010 | No Comments »

Way back in high school, my classmates and I almost made it to the Lopez Museum as a part of the educational field trip. Too bad it was axed out from the itinerary the last minute due to some undisclosed reasons. I remember one of my classmates got really depressed since he’s into paintings, arts and the works.

Unfolding Half a Century of Lopez Memorial Museum and Library

I passed through the Lopez Link site awhile ago and I found out that the team is gearing up for a very special project as Lopez Museum celebrates 50th anniversary on February 18. It is a good opportunity for Museum lovers to take advantage of this celebration as a lot of programs are in-stored to the delight of the visitors.

One of the most-anticipated event in the said celebration is the Unfolding book launch and opening of Threads exhibit at Rockwell Tent. A new coffee […]

Chili’s Food Shots

Posted: February 5th, 2010 | No Comments »

Last Jan 21, 2010 we found ourselves working at Chili’s Greenhills for a different environment.  We love the free wifi and the yummy food!  It’s a great venue for, among many other things, business meetings.  We were here to meet a possible intern and while waiting, we mucnhed on some goodies.
I usually don’t bring my Nikon D40 SLR anymore unless the event would require *artistic shots*.  I usually take my Panasonic Lumix LZ10.  Yes, I made the LZ10 a substitute to my dead TZ5 which I drowned while surfing *sniff* *sniff*.  Anyway, I bought this gear when I went to Singapore last September 2009.  It only cost SGD 160 (around 5k – 6k PHP).
The TZ5 is way better though when it comes to the quality of the pictures and the features of the gear itself but for it’s price, I’d say it’s a winner budget camera. What I also […]

Posted: February 4th, 2010 | No Comments »

So where was I last Wednesday afternoon? Well, I went to work at 1:30PM and left after two hours. I found myself together with  Judd, Carlos, Patty and Maki at Eastwood Mall. Why? Errr… we went there to catch the press conference of Musicfest 2010 featuring international acts like Boyce Avenue, Jabbawokeez and Kris Allen! Yes, these three artists are performing Live in Cebu today (February 5) and in Manila tomorrow (February 6).

Musicfest 2010 Manila Presscon Hosts Georgina Wilson and Mo Twister

The said press conference was hosted by DJ Mo Twister (who is now an active blogger) and Channel V’s Celebrity VJ of the Month Georgina Wilson, who is undeniably hot with her red dress.

The Boys of Boyce Avenue

I’m quite sure YouTube lovers have heard of Boyce Avenue. They began posting some of their revivals in the video site years ago and eventually earned millions of fans from different parts […]

Happy to Wake Up

Posted: February 3rd, 2010 | No Comments »

There are times when you wake up and you feel relieved that you are living in the *real* world.
I seldom have nightmares… and usually, it doesn’t involve ghosts and monsters…
My nightmares involve some of my biggest fears,
The one that can hurt me most…
My nightmares play with my emotions…

And so, I woke up with sweat all over…
Unsure if some were tears or sweat in the pillow.
I see the sunshine…
Ah…
and hums a tune in my head…
“Don’t worry, bout a thing… Coz every little thing… is gonna be alright”

On Candy and Make-Up
I usually don’t buy my own make up.  I make use of whatever my mom and her sisters have.  They have tons of make-up from different brands that could kill my wallet and credit card and buy them myself.  I’d be exposed to these brands just because of them.
A lot of people tell me I look better without makeup.  It’s not that I don’t know how to apply them, but many say my face features are so strong and pretty that I don’t need make-up.  I had a fear of going to parlor shops before to have make-up applied on me.  They usually make me look like a geisha or a ghost or a clown no matter how professional and experienced the make-up artist is.  I often find myself going to the restroom, get some tissue, and remove some make-up and apply my own compact powder.
But that […]

Blog Clogged – Writing from Windows Live Writer

Posted: February 2nd, 2010 | No Comments »

As much as I wanted to publish one blog post per day, I wasn’t able to.  Now, I have a blog clog.  Anton of ourawesomeplanet.com advised me to publish events and blog post as it happens as much as possible because a lot of things happen in a day.  Next thing you know, you’re blog clogged.
Shame, and it is my situation now.
Suddenly, I miss my MSI Wind UMPC.  The really light net book that I can bring anywhere.  I have a sun mobile broadband pen right now and it is really a handy tool.  I am using a very bulky 14 inch laptop right now though.  I figured, if I partnered my sun mobile with my UMPC, that would be perfect.  But, I gave it to my aunt for her use… T___T
Anyway, I love technology and it has been quite a long while since I’ve made a blog tech post.  […]

Medicine Through the years

Posted: February 1st, 2010 | No Comments »

Gone are the days when people relied on magicians and shamans for the solutions to their illness. Our generation is now an “educated” generation led by the ways of science and logic.
If the solutions to stomach pain was drinking bat wing potion in the olden days, we now take a certain pill to cure that. […]

STD, What’s that?

Posted: February 1st, 2010 | No Comments »

In today’s generation we have more and more people becoming open to sexual activities as early as the teenage years. This post is hopefully not for scaring but for educating people on safety and prevention. Prevention is always better than the cure itself.
What is STD? Sexually transmitted diseases are basically diseases transmitted, well, sexually. This […]
