Under-Appreciation, whatever it means

Posted: October 15th, 2012 | No Comments »

I once developed this small computer in college, probably the size of a matchbox or two, or maybe even smaller. It was one of my most remarkable invention, or at least for me it was. For an engineering graduate, a project is a requirement on your final year for you to graduate. We never do […]

The Jollibee University Floats

Posted: October 15th, 2012 | No Comments »

Jollibee is back again with their new batch of University Floats. Same as last year, the colors of the University floats are red, yellow, blue and green. If I remember it correctly, last year, red was watermelon-flavored, yellow was dalandan, blue was “bubblegum” and green was apple-flavored. This year, the flavors are different: Red Apple […]

It has been quite a while since I last wrote a blog post in this blog. I have always wanted to but almost everytime I attempt to write, I always run out of things to share. The things I do offline are mostly shared on my Twitter and Facebook timelines. Blame them! Anyway, if you […]

You go to Nepal for a lot of reasons. I can name a hundred reasons but I’m going to highlight this one reason why I came to this country – Spiritual Health.
Spiritual, not religious. Trips like this opens my soul to another light, a different perspective. On our first day in Kathmandu, we visited the biggest Stupa in the world! On our second day, we went to the Pashupatinath Temple they shortly call “Pashupati” and the Bagmati river.
“Pashupati” is the local name of one of the Shiva gods, mainly the Lord of Cattle.
In Hindu and Buddhism, they have thousands of gods, but mostly broken down into 3 categories namely:

Brahma – the creator
Vishnu – the preserver
Shiva – the destroyer

It was enlightening how the people live simple and humble […]

Vice Ganda, Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga are the three versatile artists of ABS-CBN. The three of them are competitive as host, comedians and product endorsers.   Put them together in one movie and it will surely be a hit. It was a bit tiring going to different airports and riding different flights.  Although, it also feels awesome that I am able to do this!
After a tiring trip, I usually book a hotel that’s very comfortable so I can rest well for my next set of activities in my itinerary.  This time, we were booked at Hotel Dwarika’s and we got more than just the comfort I needed, we got so much more!
Our hotel was booked via Agoda.com and Himalayas Encounters.  This hotel is a heritage boutique hotel.  Although they say it’s boutique, it has about 80 rooms as of to date.

The History of Dwarika’s and the Passion to Preserve Culture
This hotel is very rich in story.  Hotel Dwarika’s was built because of a fortunate accident, or we call it […]

One Crazy But Memorable Night in Macau

Four girls traveling overseas together for the first time… Well, not really. Prior to that Macau trip that happened sometime in April 2010, three of us were picked by NN to attend the first Nuffnang Blog Awards in Singapore. It is the first time for the four of us to travel DIY style. Remember the […]

Sometimes, you just need to go beyond the weighing scale to feel the difference!
When I was almost done with my NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day Program, I felt the change even without checking with the scale yet. My clothes were fitting me okay, my jeans are easier to wear with and everything just felt more comfortable!
I guess that’s the real essence of losing weight. It makes you feel more comfortable, then it has a domino effect on your whole well-being: you feel good, you exude confidence and in turn, you do better at work or in school, your social life booms and everyone would say "blooming ka ah!" That indeed was what happened to me. People keep noticing my change in weight that even my pole instructors were amazed at the "healthy" weight […]

How to make your travel photos look great: Deleting Photobombers
It is sometimes annoying when you captured a very beautiful spot or landmark but someone just ruined the view. Good thing Photoshop has a capability of editing photos which can remove photobombers in the background.

Seven New York’s overrated attractions that are still worth visiting

Most people I know from the United States said that living in New York will make your life busy. Very populated, people walk fast, they work a lot. As opposed to what locals said it is only a paradox and guessed that people who have said that haven’t been to New York — it is […]

It took us about 10-15 mins from our Hotel Dwarika’s to Boudha Stupa despite the traffic.
If you are a Filipino, you’re already used to this traffic.  But You’d have to be careful and  look left and right.  They drive on the left side of the road.

Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu

You pay NPR 150 (Php 75)  upon entry.

It was very nice and relaxing inside.  You get to see different people of different nationalities, going around the Stupa Temple.  Some are meditating, some offer prayers and some chant a mantra.

When you look above the Boudha Stupa, it would look like a giant mandala or a diagram of the Buddhist cosmos.  You will see that everywhere.  Some shops offer Thaka workshops where they teach you how to draw this.  There are many symbols to this temple.  […]
