The funny thing about WordPress is the way it behaves differently across my different webhosts – Dreamhost, Media Temple and A Small Orange.
My food blog is hosted on MT. Before I manually upgraded it to WordPress 2.7, it was languishing in the old 2.3 version. Back then when 2.3 was the “in thing” it was already having issues with WP’s AJAX features. But I learned to live with it. Yesterday, while I was making a new post about an Indian Restaurant, the autosave feature was acting like its usual crazy self. It displays an error message “You do not have permission to do that”. Ok, so who does? Like before, I’m not allowed to make new categories. I was forced to create them in phphmyadmin. I don’t care for WP’s AJAX capabilities other than autosave. Otherwise I can totally […]

I updated Daily Top 10 Posts to version 0.6. It includes only a couple of minor fixes, albeit aesthetic ones. I added the ability to set how many top posts will appear on the sidebar and dashboard. Does that mean I have to rename the plugin to Daily Top Posts? You need to open up the plugin file to edit the variables. By version 0.8 or 0.9 you’ll be able to do it directly from your admin panel. I promise. In addition to that, I tweaked the dashboard widget to look more streamlined with new admin CSS.
Download version 0.6 here or update it automatically through your plugin panel. For more about Daily Top 10 Posts, go here.
Thanks.

I’m happy to share an MP3 of John Williams’ beautiful arrangement, “Air and Simple Gifts”, played moments before Barack Hussein Obama took his oath as the 44th President of the United States. The musical ensemble is nothing to scoff at — the legendary cellist Yo-yo Ma, Israeli-American Itzhak Perlman on the violin, Venezuelan-American pianist Gabriela Montero and African-American musician Anthony McGill on the clarinet — put together a masterpiece that will long be remembered throughout history.
Download it here.

Update: I just learned it was pre-recorded. They decided to record the song two days before because they predicted the weather would be too cold for the instruments to play in tune. Still awesome though, right?

I keep on asking that stupid question to myself. I really can’t find my phone inside this very small room. I already checked every inch of the floor, every corner, up, down, left, right, north, south, east, and west. Inside my cabinet, inside my desktop, inside my laptop, inside my pillows, inside my brain, inside everything, but to no avail. This happened to me for the third time but this one was worst, because 3 days already passed and still, I can’t find my cellphone.
I know that it’s in here but I can’t find it. I know it’s right in front of me, but I can’t see it. What I need to do now is be patient. Maybe someone supernatural inside this room stole it and is playing around with me. Or maybe, I’m just over reacting. Aw… I don’t know what to say next. I think I need to […]

Ang daming “the” no? Hehe. 2008 was really an unforgettable year to me and maybe to almost all of us. To continue what I have started last 2006 and 2007, I will write what I have achieved in the year that was. I will not and cannot include all, but here are some of the most unforgettable things that happened to my life and my blog in the year 2008:
1. I earned my first million (in PHP) from my online earnings, spent all of it and saved only 3,000 pesos in my bank account. That’s why I really hate myself, I should learn to save. Grrrrrr. I also received my first check from Adbrite, first payment via Paypal from AW Surveys, Kontera, and Chitika in the year 2008!
2. Joined a mini-SEO contest (this is the second SEO contest that I joined, but technically this is the first one. Because I […]

This post is all about the evolution of my blog. I will write about the chronicles of Jehzlau Concepts by showing you what this blog looked like way way back before it had an ugly header. While I was browsing my old pictures here in my laptop, I found out that my logo before was worse compared to my present logo. More about the history of Jehzlau Concepts after the jump!
The chronicles of Jehzlau Concepts (Click the image for a larger preview).
This is my first header way back 2006. I really love this because it was unique (to my eyes before), even if it looks terrible (to my eyes now).
After a year, it was changed to this narcissistic header. These images were taken from the employee attendance system of the company where I was working before. Everyday when you log in and out, a picture of you will be saved […]

I’m planning to buy myself a Desktop PC this Christmas from HP and I’m contemplating between an HP Pavilion Elite m9299d Desktop PC or HP Pavilion s3690d Slimline PC. But I realized that I can save more If I assemble my own Desktop PC. I need suggestions from PC/Hardware geeks or not geeks out there of what parts to buy for maximum PC performance (on gaming, photo editing, video editing, eating, swimming, and everything that we can do inside Milky Way Galaxy).
I’m eyeing on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Processor , 2 GB DDR2 Memory (or 4GB if I can make use of it), and 1TB SATA HDD. I don’t know what Motherboard to buy, what Graphics Card to buy (nVidia GeForce, ATI Radeon or any better??), and other important specs of a PC to consider. My reason why I’m buying an HP Pavilion is to have my very […]

I always carry my nifty Sony DSC-T200 camera with me. This is my very first Sony gadget. This blog bought this for me a year ago (the earnings from this blog of course, not literally this blog, heehee…). I was super satisfied with its performance and it greatly serves its purpose for me (To take pictures). I really love it because it’s handy, stylish and takes great images.
It was like a DSLR in stealth, disguised in a small and compact metallic casing. I’m really impressed with this camera specially when taking photos in macro mode. It can take astounding close-up shots just like a Digital SLR.
Here are some macro photos and panoramic portraits courtesy of my very own Sony DSC-T200:
A fresh strawberry during our breakfast in Baguio.
A yellow flower in Manor Hotel, Baguio City.
A candle without flame somewhere in Greenbelt 5.
A Starfish close-up shot in the seashores of Panglao […]

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away there was a breed of humanity out there, indistinguishable from others before it – unless you know what to look for. Like subtle differences in outlook, odd skills, curious behavior, and strange attachment to the word “Nyok“. These group can only speak and pronounce the work nyok and nyok alone.
These living beings were grown up with books full of Nyoks on each and every page. They were known as a studious culture defined through constant reading, researching, and studying. The first purely genius generation. They have practiced constructivism since infancy, has been transformed into something never before seen in human history, – a purely intelligent and smart society. With special skills, codes, and rituals all its own.
Here’s a recorded and written conversation of two intelligent Nyokers:
Nyoker 1: Nyok Nyok.. Nyok??!?!
Nyoker 2: Nyok!!!
Nyoker 1: Nyok?? Nyok…………. Nyok […]

My post title should be “Nuffnang Philippines’ First Movie Premiere for Bloggers” but after reading the mechanics twice, I found out that I missed one very important instruction: 4. Publish your entry with the uniform title Spying Over Burn After Reading. That’s why I changed it without hesitation because I might get disqualified. Heehee…
Nuffnang Philippines will have its first movie premiere for bloggers at Robinson’s Galleria. If you’re a Nuffnanger and you want to join the said event, you need to write an entry in your blog stating that you wanna join and why. That’s what I’m doing right now. I wanna join! I wanna join! I wanna join! and… why? Because I love the movie! Haha! (plastic ) Yey!
And also… ahmmm.. you need to embed this picture below in your post!

Ok. I know. You Know. We All Know. I knew it. You knew it? Ok. So? What’s next? I don’t know. I didn’t know. I have to know. But, I forgot. If, Then, Else. Else? So? After Else what’s next? The next is after before and before after. Hehehe. I’m sorry my head was pakongized inside the cab which was and so forth. Yay!
All I want to blog about is to blog about what I forgot to blog about the things to blog about. (Pwede nang tongue twister no? wahehehe). But… before I’ll blog about the things that I should blog about, I want to share the tragic accident that I’ve experienced yesterday, but not so tragic, but close to tragic in the sense that it’s tragic but not “so” tragic. Therefore, it was a mild accident. But not that mild, but it can be considered mild.
This was the scenario […]
