Collect your Coca Cola Glasses, now na! is a post from: Batang Yagit I grew up in a family which collects Coca-Cola items. From cases of miniature Coca-Cola bottles to Coca-Cola branded dining sets. I even remember playing with my grandmother’s collection of mini 8 oz Coke bottles when I was younger. My brother and […]

Music Mash-up Feature: Sponge Cola and Jay R

Posted: July 6th, 2011 | No Comments »

Hey music lovers!
Last week I shared more about a Rock + Rnb Mash-up and how two local artists Sponge Cola and Jay R made it happen.  In my last blog, I shared with you how they felt making a whole new music from combining two of their songs!
That was just the tip of the iceberg because today, I’m sharing with you the real deal – the product of creativity of these two bands, concucting a whole new song for you guys to enjoy.

I can’t embed the video per se, so just click THIS link to view the video!
It’s pretty awesome you know.  If I were given the task to combine these two songs together, I wouldn’t think I’d make a new song… more of like an ear bomb because if you listen to these two different songs separately, it’s quite different to imagine it being combined – but […]

Kylie Minogue Live in Manila – Aphrodite Concert

Posted: July 6th, 2011 | No Comments »

I really can’t stop thinking about the concert last night.
Kylie is the bomb!  I was so starstruck that even if we were seated a little bit away from the stage, I still had the goosebumps.
She is a perfect doll.  She’s skin was so perfect, really nice legs, flawless skin and she doesn’t seem to age.  I wonder what her secret is?
Yet, despite this… don’t you know that she’s only 5 feet tall? (1 inch taller than me) I was like WOW!… how did that happen?  Her legs look so tall.
So guys, now you know… there’s actually a chance for us shawtys here in the world!  I am inspired to preserve my youth like how she does… I will be on “obsessed mode” with anti-aging products and moisturizers.  I would also dedicate my time to gym, exercise and my love – Pole dancing!
I am simply amazed.

The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Manila

Posted: July 2nd, 2011 | No Comments »

I wasn’t really exposed to a lot of plays when I was a kid, but Andrew Lloyd Webber’s songs from his play are really famous.  Since I have been interested with theatre lately, I decided to catch up on what I missed and watched his show here in Manila.
It’s a summary of all his songs from the different plays / musicals he has composed.

I cried to a couple of songs that moved me.  But I particularly cried when they performed “Don’t Cry for me Argentina” from Evita.  Ahhh… the emotions it provoked me.  I think I’m an empath, I am easily affected by other people’s feelings and I really felt the song
Performances from June 24, 2011 to July 3 (13 shows only)
Venue: Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, CCP
(CCP Main Theater)
Price of the ticket ranges from P 700 – P 6,000
You can check out and buy tickets here.

Saved up for the Summer and More

Posted: July 1st, 2011 | No Comments »

Summer is finally here. Though there are those who celebrate on the idea of a school-free summer, there are those whose allowance depends on the number of school days. Once school’s out, my allowance is also out. So over the school year I’ve built up my own savings. (hehe) This way I got some cash […]

Auric Aura

Back then I remember keeping a stack of fake (or so I thought they were fake) one peso coins. I guess my observation in one news feature was that the police were scanning around these pile of coins where the fake ones would get attracted to their magnet device thingy. It was then my common […]

Life Wish – The Edge of Fear and Joy

Posted: July 1st, 2011 | No Comments »

Death is a subject that most people wouldn’t want to talk about or rather, think about. As much as possible, we would like to avoid discussing it. In reality, we cannot even predict our own death. It is something that we cannot control. There are different types of death, but untimely death is one that […]

Partying in Hong Kong

Posted: June 30th, 2011 | No Comments »

It all just happened that Vince’s friends from San Diego where at the same place and at the same time as we were.  Vince and I were visiting Hong Kong again while it’s still cold there and his friends took a pit stop in Hong Kong for their Asia backpacking trip.
I’ve been to Hong Kong a few times, what can I say, I love the food and the sights here.  But, I’ve never been out to experience the night life.  I have planned to go out a few times but since I don’t know any locals in HK, it was hard.
I think the best way to explore the city is to befriend a local
You have virtualtourist.com, travelocity and many other sites that will let you know where to go so in case you don’t know anyone, just do your research online.
But, lucky for us… vince’s friends know some […]

Stock Market Night

Posted: June 28th, 2011 | No Comments »

I love parties and costume parties!
Stock Market invited a few bloggers for a 30s night and I gladly breezed through a busy schedule to come in costume.
I was so confused, I never lived in the 30s (:P) and I don’t know what’s the fashion at the time so I had to turn to “Google” for advice
I am not even sure if I was wearing a 30s outfit, but these are just the stuff I pulled out of my closet to try my best to look 30s… jeng jeng jeng!

with Mhel and Ken of Certified Foodies blog
It was fun meeting new bloggers and having a lovely chat with them while we enjoyed a healthy feast before us!  I have always loved dining here at Stock Market.  I just love the simple, clean and neat interior that lures me inside.  I usually order soup here for take-out when someone is […]
